After much anticipation, Phineas and Ferb, Across the 2nd Dimension premiered tonight at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood. Complete with a teal carpet, Perry the Platy-Bus, and appearances by the famed brothers, the premiere was a celebration of the show turned film. Danielle and I had premium teal carpet access with celebrity sightings including Rick Schroeder and Erik Estrada and more Disney Channel stars than I could count.
The film, which is based on the hit Disney Channel series, takes Phineas and Ferb on their biggest journey to date…into another dimension. With a platypus turned secret agent, dual alter egos, and a plot to take over their Tri-State Area, Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension is an action-packed adventure filled with humor, upbeat tunes, and important life lessons.
Phineas and Ferb, while geared towards kids and tweens, is a comedy series with humor that will appeal to a broader audience. It’s actually a show that doesn’t annoy me. The music is hip and catchy, the characters are relatable, and the stories are engaging. My four year old son sat through the entire show, asking appropriate questions from time to time. At the end, he was so thrilled to have watched it and was ready to see “the next episode” (I had to explain to him that it was a film).
Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension premiers on The Disney Channel this Friday (August 5th) at 8 pm ET/PT.
Disclosure: I was invited to the premier and compensated for my time and travel.
