*Update*
This giveaway is now closed. Thank you so much for stopping by and entering. The winner is Susan (#1). Congratulations!
I vaguely remember those early days of newborn bliss that seemed to run together in an endless wave of sleeplessness. It was all about survival. Nobody really prepared me for the intensity…the fatigue…the forgetfulness. There were days I woke up and went to sleep in my pajamas.
One of the things that helped us maintain some sense of control was keeping a log of my son’s nursing schedule and diapers. We struggled with learning how to nurse for a long time and the only way I knew my son was getting enough was referencing back to the notes I made along the way. We made a habit of checking in at The Pump Station for weekly weights and those records were what kept me sane those nights at 2 am when my son was screaming and I was crying because we just couldn’t figure it out.
We live in a society where women are becoming increasingly savvy and parents in general are looking to the web for parental support and resources. Babble Soft, a company specializing in technology products, is simplifying the lives of new parents with their web and mobile baby tracking software. When I was first introduced to the company I was so impressed with the philosophy behind it. Do you know how many nights I scribbled something down only to wake up wondering what in the world I had written?
Baby Insights helps parents and caregivers communicate about their newborns care and patterns. Once inputted, parents can review the information and make crucial decisions about baby sleep, breastfeeding support and feeding. The software allows tracking of sleep periods, breast and/or bottlefeeding times and amounts, diaper changes, pumping, medications, and immunization schedules. Baby Say Cheese is the company’s other software, which allows parents the opportunity to create an online album for their newborn baby incorporating both photos and milestones as well as a family tree.
Thanks to Parent Reviewers and Babble Soft, we were able to trial both software programs. I consider myself to be a novice when it comes to technology so you can trust me when I say this program is very easy to navigate. I really like the graphs the program generates to help give you an overall visual picture of how things are going. You can even give your pediatrician the summary to help make important medical decisions.
For example, you’re goal is to exclusively breastfeed…but you and your baby are having difficulty latching or your baby is sleepy and you’re having difficulty waking and keeping him/her interested in the feeding. Your Pediatrician reviews the feeding schedule and diapers and can help decide whether or not supplementation with formula is necessary. Jaundice and weight loss are other very common occurrences in the newborn period where tracking of this type of information is crucial.
So what happens if you actually get up and get ready and go outside? The company offers a mobile version and some wonderful handouts in pdf to download when you are away from your computer.
In contrast to the practicality of Baby Insights, Baby Say Cheese is where you get to show off your precious baby to the world! Capture all of your baby’s special moments and milestones in this virtual online album.
There are numerous options available for you to consider when purchasing Babble Soft’s software. I recommend heading over to their website for details on attaining a subscription. Be sure to check the system requirements prior to purchasing the software. Right now you can take a tour and sign up for a 15 day free trial to see how amazing it really is.

Thanks for the great review! I’m so glad you could see how Baby Insights could be helpful to first time moms and dads.
Our mobile app (as you mentioned) does make entering information even easier! That way you don’t have to worry about entering data during the middle of the night on your PC. We also created custom forms for new parents or caregivers that can be downloaded from within the web app to jot down notes when they can’t get to their PC and then enter the data quickly later.
Thanks again!
