There is so much to love about Spring! Here in Southern California, the weather is warm enough to feel comfortable doing practically anything outside (including swimming!), the flowers and the trees show renewal and life, the days just feel longer and brighter, and an abundance of seasonal foods color our table. I am an avid baker, and contrary to cooking, which often feels forced and confined, particularly when I have to get dinner on the table, baking soothes me and allows me to express my creative side.

Pillsbury launched a rainbow of vibrant new Spring baking products, designed to inspire your sweets and treats.  In fact, I used Pillsbury’s Tropical Mango Flavored Cake Mix to create my latest Mango Shortcakes which were absolutely divine! In addition to the brand’s new Tropical Mango Flavored Cake Mix, Frosting, and Cookie Mix, they have also launched a new Spring Funfetti Cake Mix & Frosting (which I used in my Spring Cake Pops) and a Key Lime Flavored Cake Mix, Cookie Mix and Frosting. I’m already dreaming up a recipe for Key Lime Bars (a spin on on of my absolute favorite desserts…Lemon Bars!).
