Ragu Celebrates A Long Day of Childhood Giveaway

It’s 5:00 and I just realized I haven’t even thought about dinner…

The kids are irritable and unwilling to eat what I’ve prepared…

It’s a cold, rainy day and we’ve been cooped up in the house all day…

My son had a great day at school…

Pasta is my staple meal. It’s what I prepare when I don’t have time to cook an elaborate meal…or the kids are cranky and tired and need to get some type of sustenance in them…or they’ve done something great. In less than 20 minutes, I can cook whole grain pasta, boil shrimp, and toss it all with Ragu’s Organic Garden Veggie pasta sauce. Even if that is all we have for dinner, I know my children are getting their veggies, whole grains, and a bit of protein in them.

Preparing and cooking meals for my children has always been my ideal. But with my son starting school this year, we’ve all had to adjust to earlier bedtimes, earlier wake-ups and a less lenient schedule. With 2 servings of vegetables in each 1/2 cup of sauce, I always keep a jar of Ragu on hand for those nights when I just can’t get my dinner act together. While I’ve made pasta sauce from scratch, it’s time-consuming and not always practical. I feel good about knowing Ragu’s pasta sauces simply contain the ingredients you’d find in your cupboard and fridge.

Ragu’s latest campaign is titled A Long Day of Childhood and features a series of videos detailing common scenarios (funny, embarrassing, challenging) children face every day. It wasn’t until my son started school that I really began to understand that growing up can be quite difficult. Adults will likely relate to one or more of the scenarios depicted in their new video series. In the video, parents help ease their child’s long days with family time and wholesome meals featuring Ragu Pasta Sauce.
