In Anticipation of Cars 2… *Giveaway* Published on Thursday, June 16, 2011 by

Every time we pass a Cars 2 billboard, my son asks me if it’s time…time to see the movie.  Apart from Toy Story 3, I don’t think I’ve seen him this excited about a film.  He’s been a Cars fan for a long time and you’ll typically find Lightning McQueen or Mater in his pocket.

This week, I’m in Los Angeles with Disney to cover the world premiere of Cars 2.  Some of the highlights of the weekend include a group interviews with director John Lasseter, Owen Wilson, Larry the Cable Guy, Emily Mortimer, and producer Denise Ream, the red carpet premiere, and the after-party.  I haven’t told my son exactly what I’m doing because we’ve scheduled time next week for the two of us to see the film.

In the second film, Lightning McQueen and Mater head overseas to compete in the first-ever World Grand Prix.  Mater finds himself caught up in international espionage and his action-packed journey leads him on an explosive chase through the streets of Japan and Europe.

Excitement is building for the film and State Farm’s Agents on a Mission Multi-City Tour is currently underway.  The tour will make a stop in Los Angeles on June 22nd at the Americana, just in time for the June 24th release.  Families can take part in Cars 2 themed activities including games, giveaways, e-photo opportunities, and more.

    My 3 year old son has been using the phrase, “Again?” (along with this adorable jump-for-joy body language) whenever we get to go somewhere or do something again that he really likes. His 2 year old sister copies everything my son does. i can’t wait to see my 2 kiddos jumping for joy, saying “Again?!” when we see the 2nd Cars movie.
