Create Your Own Collection By Ralph Lauren *Giveaway* Published on Monday, February 28, 2011 by

Gone are the days of writing your child’s name with a sharpie on the label of his/her shirt so it makes it’s way back home. Ralph Lauren offers a stylishly affordable way to personalize your child’s shirt with their new Create Your Own Collection.  I adore Ralph Lauren’s classic styles and quality fabrics, so the opportunity to create something unique was intriguing to me.

The Create Your Own Collection includes a variety of Polo and Oxford shirts for boys.  Additionally, girls can select from a Polo Dress, Cardigan, and a Jacket.  Since my daughter recently received an adorable outfit from Ralph Lauren’s Layette collection, I opted to create a Polo shirt for my son.

The first step is deciding if you’d like a monogram or a Pony (we opted for the monogram).  There are 5 embroidery colors and 12 fonts to select from. We decided on a Black Cotton Polo monogrammed in white with my son’s first and last initials.  Creating the shirt was quick and easy and the website offers a preview of what the shirt will look like to ensure the details are correct.

The shirt is soft and breathable and looks smart and sophisticated on my son.  It’s a shirt we can dress up with a pair of slacks or wear casually with a pair of jeans.  My son actually owns several polo shirts but none of them have that added personal touch.  This particular Polo retails for $34.50 which I find to be very reasonable for a nice children’s shirt.  To Create Your Own shirt, just visit Ralph Lauren.
