Mi casa es su casa…That’s how my husband and I feel about welcoming friends and family into our home. We really enjoy not-so-formal entertaining and experimenting with creative, gourmet-ish recipes. What we don’t particularly enjoy? The clean up! And while it’s super convenient to use paper plates, it doesn’t create the warm, home-like atmosphere we strive to achieve when we have guests over. Disposables also create a ton of excess waste.
If you’d rather not break out the china (which I actually encourage you to do every now and then so it actually gets used), Mozaik offers an affordable dinnerware solution. Their BPA-free plastic ware is designed to look like the real thing and I think the company has done a great job at achieving this. The best part is that it’s reusable, recyclable, and disposable (but I recommend you reuse it). You can also wash the plastic ware in the dishwasher on the gentle cycle (fabulous!). Mozaik’s product line includes round and square plates, silver-look cutlery and serving items, and mini appetizer ware, available in classic and contemporary styles.

I invite my neighbors over quite regularly and also my daughter comes for dinner about 4 nites a week, so this would be a different setting, from plain old paper plates. I get tired of cooking and cleaning up the mess. Wish someone could invent disposable pans too. Thanks for the giveaway.

Sometimes I just don’t have the time for setting an elegant table if I find out hubby has invited some friends, his boss, etc… over. In a pinch, I would use the Mozaik table ware to give the table and elegant look, yet know that I won’t have to spend hours doing the dishes if I don’t want to. That’s the great thing, if I don’t want to do the dishes, they are disposable, but they can also be reused too.
