Up until about a year ago, many people (readers, representatives from companies, etc.) did not know that I am an OC gal. It was about this time last year that I started writing occasionally for OC Family Magazine. The experience actually helped me realize that living in Orange County is very much a part of me…our family…and this blog. As a result, I started including some “local” events and activities.
As you may have gathered from my Twitter page, I am in the middle of a site redesign. While the site will continue to serve as a resource for parents across the nation, one section will be devoted to local events, activities, and companies I support.
On September 9, 2010, I, along with 500 other Orange County Professionals, Companies, Government Agencies, Networking Groups and Non-Profits will get together for ConnectOC. The mission of ConnectOC is “to use Social Media to connect, socialize, network and contribute in meaningful ways to each other, the Orange County community as well as our local economy.” I’m very excited about making new relationships and furthering the development of existing relationships.
If you’re Orange County centric and would like to attend, it’s free! Here are the deets:
Free delicious desserts provided by Orange County’s great cupcake, candy & ice cream stores
If you’d like to sign up, just visit their registration page on Eventbrite. You can also follow them on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
If you’re planning on attending, leave me a comment so we can “connect.” (hehe)

Hey @RockinMama – Neal Schaffer told me the good news that you were coming to the event; looking forward to connecting with you! =)
Thanks for the ConnectOC love and support!
