“You see things; and you say, ‘Why?’ But I dream things that never were; and I say, ‘Why not?’”

George Barnard Shaw

To say we’re blessed, is an understatement.  We have a home, clothing, food on the table every meal, and freedom.  And those are just the basics.  We also have a lot of “extras” that most people won’t ever have.

Last week, you may remember that I was in Redondo Beach with six other Los Angeles/Orange County bloggers for Do Good Day77kids by American Eagle, in partnership with The Motherhood, organized the day which included 7 bloggers in 11 cities performing random acts of kindness.

Team L.A. headed over to Seaside Lagoon, armed with cards, stickers, markers, and the like to enable children visiting the beach to make cards for the children at Children’s Hospital Orange County.  Thanks to Cold Stone Creamery and Ruby’s Diner, we were able to provide ice cream gift cards and kid’s meals/shakes to children who made a card.  We also gave each child a one dollar bill with a list of seven good things that can be done for free and seven good things that can be done for a dollar.

77kids by American Eagle will be opening stores across the country and wanted to celebrate by creating a way to spread goodness in the communities where there stores will be located.  Do Good Day was celebrated in Boston, Chicago, Danbury, CT, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, Cherry Hill, NJ, New York City, Syracuse, NY, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN.
