This month I’ve been focusing many of my reviews on products that help women feel good about themselves.  When it comes to intimate apparel, I prefer to purchase quality items that provide sufficient support and fit appropriately.  I for one can’t just wear any bra.  When I’m not nursing, I prefer supportive bras that provide adequate coverage without being obvious.  And these days, I’m finding myself wearing more shapewear to disguise the baby weight I’m still attempting to lose.

Annette International is a company that offers fashionable and functional intimate apparel and shapewear.  Their Secret Weapons line includes 14 innovative 100% seamless shapewear styles and includes bras, underwear, bodyshapers, and camis in a variety of styles.  I had an opportunity to check out an Underwire Bra and Thong from the line.  The fabric that comprises much shape wear on the market today is not usually breathable, which results in a lot of sweating, especially if you live in Southern California.  What’s different about Secret Weapons is that it’s comprised of Cooling Sensation Micronutrients, which “work to effectively give a perception of cooling on the skin.”  Menthol is released over many hours as a result of skin contact, which means it’s a gentle, sustained cooling.

What I like most about this line is the seamless support.  Whenever you choose a thong over a brief, you’re certain to eliminate lines.  It’s really only when you wear something clingy that seamless coverage is important.  The bra is very supportive without being uncomfortable (although right now I am not wearing it regularly because it contains an underwire and I’m nursing).  It’s got a bit of padding to it, but not enough to be obvious.  I have never seen a bra with an under-band that conceals the wire (brilliant!).

The Secret Weapons line also includes a variety of body shapers, including camis, bodyshapers with legs, slips, and thongs.  It actually makes sense to choose a bodyshaper based on the type of outfit you’re wearing so that it’s not visible.
