Yoplait: Save Lids To Save Lives *Giveaway*

As I mentioned yesterday, October is breast cancer awareness month.  Many companies are doing their part to raise awareness and money to help find a cure.  Yoplait is one such company.  According to the American Cancer Society, one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime (approx. 12%).  That’s too many.  If you buy Yoplait yogurt, you may have noticed the pink lids (I know I have!).

stk-sitebadge-large-1Yoplait is making it easy for us to make a difference and contribute to the cause.  All you have to do is save those pink lids from September and October and mail them in before December 31. Yoplait will donate 10 cents to Susan G. Komen For the Cure (up to $1.5 million) for every lid received.  The minimum donation Yoplait has committed to is $500,000.   If you visit the site, you’ll be able to create online lid collection teams and engage with friends, family, and colleagues to join the cause.  In addition, Dr. Kristi Funk, Founder of the Pink Lotus Breast Center in Beverly Hills, is joining Yoplait to educate women and men about the importance of breast cancer risk reduction, early detection, and ways to support the cause.

Yoplait has donated more than $22 million to breast cancer through this program over the last 11 years.  Last year, with your help, Yoplait met it’s donation goal of $1.5 million to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
