A Baby Story: First Time Parents Giveaway Published on Thursday, April 23, 2009 by

baby_story_first_time_parents_box_art_3d

This giveaway is now closed.  Thanks for stopping by.  The winners are Kimberly, Ed N, and Amanda U.  Congrats!

On May 5, TLC and Genius Products will release A Baby Story:  First Time Parents.  I don’t know about you but I LOVE watching the reality-based shows on TLC. In fact, two years ago (in June) my husband, son and I were on Bringing Home Baby (episode NICU Nurse’s First).  Both of these shows are designed to give parents a first-hand, insider’s look as to what it’s REALLY like to have a baby.  A Baby Story “takes viewers inside on an intimate and emotional journey by profiling couples’ experiences from the final weeks of pregnancy through the first weeks of a new life.”   I commend these couples for allowing us into such a personal life event.  I recommend that all parents watch the shows as they’re highly educational.  Here is a little more information about the soon-to-be released DVD.

Share in the experience and all the emotions parents feel when they first greet their newborn.  From the final weeks of pregnancy through the first weeks of a new life, TLC’s Emmy Award-winning series “A Baby Story” goes inside the delivery room for a first-hand look at the drama of labor and the joy of the unforgettable birth moment.  Chronicling soon-to-be parents from all walks of life, “A Baby Story: First Time Parents” is a colorful collection of heart-warming tales detailing events leading up to and shortly after the arrival of each family’s new addition.

I like all the helpful “101″ sections! Very nice.

I’ve always loved TLC’s programming – we don’t have a TV ourselves, but whenever I visit my grandmother I try to watch A Baby Story and A Wedding Story. :)

I have always loved this show. But since we switched to no cable I don’t get to watch it anymore. Winning this would be great! I love that it gives the story behind the birth.

Along with so many others I’ve loved TLC so far back that I can remember when Trading Spaces was their “only” show. I now love so many of their shows it’s hard to pick, but I guess I’ll have to go with “Little People Big World”. The Rolof Family makes you feel as if you are their neighbors & what wonderful neighbors they are! Thanks for the chance!

I love TLC. The shows are for and about real people. This DVD is perfect for my son and daughter-in-law as they will be first time parents any day now.

  • by Sarah Crawford April 28, 2009 at 9:28 am

Looking at TLC’s lineup, I love that all of their reality-based shows appear to be very positive. They are not trashy like the reality shows on other networks seem to be.

I love seeing others going through the process of having their baby, whether it be their first or second or more. I checked out TLC and noticed that the Roloff family has a book out. I’d be interesting in reading it. They are a family I enjoy watching on TV.
