Love of Learning Month: The Learning Tower Giveaway Published on Thursday, February 5, 2009 by

This giveaway is now closed.  Thank you so much for stopping by.  A HUGE congratulations to KD!

Yesterday, I alluded that there would be a huge giveaway coming! Well…here it is! I am so excited to share with you a wonderful product called The Learning Tower. Created by Carol Gramble, this adjustable- height stepstool brings children up to counter top height so they can help with “big kid” activities like cooking and crafting with mom and dad. You won’t have to worry about your child falling from a wobbly chair with The Learning Tower. It was sturdily constructed to withstand tipping.

My son loves to be in the kitchen with me while I’m cooking or cleaning up the dishes. He tries to be a wonderful “helper” and I think this product would be a fantastic addition to our home someday! I personally feel children learn best through imitating and observing mom and dad doing their “normal” daily routines. The Learning Tower is a perfect way to include your child in these activities.

Here is a little more information about The Learning Tower from the site:

For a child, the world around them is a magical and curious place. They learn by mirroring Mommy and Daddy with the ultimate goal being “to do it myself” and feel like an active member of the family. That’s why Little Partners has created the Learning Tower: a sturdy, non-tip structure that welcomes the child to safely participate with parents, caregivers, and siblings by raising them to countertop height.

February is Love of Learning Month. The mission of the company is “to affirm the child’s positive self image through strengthening the essential partnership between the child and the adult.” Every day starting February 9, 2009, Little Partners will give away a Learning Tower. Be sure to visit the Love of Learning Month to visit the other twenty blogs participating in this event. That means you could have twenty chances to win a Learning Tower!

The Learning Tower retails for $189.99 and can be purchased directly from the site.

Win It! One of you very, very lucky readers will win a Learning Tower in the color of your choice (Natural, Dark Cherry, Ebony, Soft White, Red, Azure Blue, Royal Blue, Pink, Apple Green). Simply head on over to the site and take a look around. Come back here and leave me a comment with something you liked or learned about The Learning Tower. Also, please tell me in your comment what color you would pick if you won. The winner will be announced on February 10, 2009 so hurry and get your entries in. One comment per person, please. US residents only. Duplicates and comments not including the above information will be disqualified. Comments are moderated. If you don’t see your comment in a reasonable amount of time, send me an email. Bloggers and non-bloggers may enter. If you don’t want to leave your email address, please be sure to check back for my announcement on the winner. safe way for my kids to get stuff they want. Pink please.

  • by Mary February 6, 2009 at 7:14 am

With two grandkids it is just right for them to play with. I would most likely choose brown for a few reasons, one being that it is harder to see dirt. Another reason is that brown is usually one of the last colors chosen for anything and I am always for the underdog.

  • by Sue E February 6, 2009 at 7:54 am

Boy could I use one of these! My little one wants to be with me every second when I’m preparing meals. I like the black one. Thanks for the chance to win!

  • by Dawn Horns February 6, 2009 at 10:25 am

The learning tower is great. I did not know they came in different colors. The dark cherry color is very pretty.

  • by Teresa February 6, 2009 at 10:25 am

  • by Arlene Anthony February 6, 2009 at 10:47 am

It’s nic to have Four–sided railings provide support while your child climbs in and prevent falling when inside the Tower. like that they use non-toxic paint, that always make me feel better.
I would pick the royal blue color.

  • by Renee February 6, 2009 at 10:57 am

I didn’t know it came in all of those awesome colors!!! WOW!

I still like the natural best, if I were to own one. it’s what would go best with my kitchen decor!

What I really like about the learning tower is that your child can stand up to the countertop and learn to cook, sew, paint or do crafts. They can reach everything. Parents do not have to worry about them falling off a stool or a chair. It is safe and comfortable and a really great way to teach your children.

  • by Lori Walker February 6, 2009 at 11:37 am

He often wants to help in the kitchen, especially when his older brothers are helping, but sitting on the counter is not an option, because he grabs at everything, throws it down, or he could fall off!!

I’ve been a fan of the Learning Tower for several months now. We are at the stage where my daughter wants to be right next to me while I’m preparing meals, and we often pull up a chair to the counter. A Learning Tower is so much safer, and would allow me relax while she’s “helping” me make dinner :) I would want one in red! Flashy and fun.

I am thrilled to know that I could use this as well as the kids. Belonging to the smaller version of life I am always looking for something to stand on to get to the middle shelf. I know the kids are going to be larger than me and I’ll definitly need this to get in their face.! LOL The cherry would look great in my kitchen. Then again a Chef would look good in there too, uhh dreams. Thanks for the give away.

  • by Paula Harmon February 8, 2009 at 6:35 am

Green! Right now we have to use a chair when the kids help and every single time is slides, so I have to stand there holding it with my foot. And a few weeks ago my son actually had to get staples for a cut on the top of his head! So, I know this prize would get used everyday around here!

  • by ky2here February 8, 2009 at 6:54 am

Burned out hippie here so Apple Green it is.

  • by Linda Russell February 8, 2009 at 7:58 am

I love this, my son is always using his little stepstool in the kitchen with me and it is so dangerous. I like that the learning tower has Four–sided railings that provide support. I f I won I would pick cherry.

    I’d love the natural colored.

I love that it’s a non tip structure. We use chairs right now to get them to counter height and I know it’s not safe, even when I keep my hand on their arm. The adjustable height will also be great for the 2 different ages/heights we have in our home.

  • by Amanda Chapman February 8, 2009 at 9:22 pm

2 children can fit on it at a time. That’s great because both of my girls love to help in the kitchen and I’m always afraid that they’ll fall off the kitchen chair especially when they’re fighting on the same one.

    I’d choose the natural color.

  • by Brooke February 9, 2009 at 8:38 am

I have been eyeing the learning tower for a long time now and would love to win one! My little guy insists that he stands on a chair up to the counter right now and I always worry about him falling- That’s what is so great about the Learning tower- It’s sturdy non-tip I also love that it has adjustable heights. I also love the fact that it’s so versitile with the playhouse and art easel options. If I was the oh so lucky winner I would gladly take any color but my first choice would be natural.

I visited the Learning Tower website for more info on the product, and some of the specs include non-toxic lead-free finish. This feature is very important. Paint finishes on a variety of objects are cause for concern- for all humans but especially small children. It really does seem sturdy- it holds 500 pounds of weight. Hmm, I imagine if two kids were jumping up and down on it, that would test its give! But it looks like a solid piece of furniture that would be ideal for the two- and five-year old kids that are curious about everything their Grandma does. Thanks for the entry!

This is my #1 wishlist item for my cooking obsessed toddler. He must sample each spice before it goes in… I’d like the natural finish. I learned that the height is adjustable to grow with my little guy

  • by Helen February 9, 2009 at 10:30 pm

I like that both my kids can fit on it and watch while I cook. I’d choose the Azure Blue.

  • by Heather C February 9, 2009 at 10:45 pm

I love that it has a non-tip structure and that it can be adjusted as the child grows. I’d probably choose the red one. Thanks!

  • by Amy February 9, 2009 at 11:03 pm

    Soft white is my favorite!

  • by Heather February 9, 2009 at 11:13 pm

I like that it has the adjustable height platform and that it cleans easily with a damp cloth. I would love the soft white one.

  • by Jessica P February 9, 2009 at 11:14 pm

I learned that it won’t tip over if they try to climb out.

    I would love the ebony

I like the four–sided railings, the sturdy base, and the variety of colors that they offer. My favorite color would have to be the soft white.

  • by Suanne Giddings February 9, 2009 at 11:50 pm

I like that this non-tip structure has an adjustable height platform. I would choose the dark cherry finish. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this giveaway!

I think the Learning Tower is awesome. I like the fact that it can hold 2 children, it has an adjustable height, you can add on a chalk board and it gives them stability while helping out in the kitchen. I like the Cherry color to match my cabinets and kitchen table.

  • by Betty N February 10, 2009 at 9:07 am

My little grandson loves to “help cook” but needs to stand on something to make him counter height………I love everything about the Learning Tower but I would feel so good with my grandson using it and I didn’t have to worry about him fallin off of it or tipping over…such great characteristics of the learning tower.

  • by clenna in NH February 10, 2009 at 9:20 am

I like the tower because it is a secure environment, one where the child can limb, sit and play in without it collapsing or falling over.
I would like the natural color.

I love the learning tower! I love that it keeps my kids safe while helping me in the kitchen. I especially love that it comes in cherry! Our kitchen is cherry and it can match! I’d only seen it in natural.

Tower magically transforms into an imaginative playhouse or puppet theater by throwing a piece of fabric over the top.
Has been tested to hold up to 500lbs
If I was lucky enough to be chosen as the winner I would choose cherry.
    Thank you so much.

It’s wonderful that it is safe and entertaining fro the kids, but even better that it has educational value! What an all in one piece!! I would get the Red one to really stand out.

Wow it can hold up to 500 ponds…that’s amazing. Apple green is cool. Thanks!

  • by BarbaraBaker February 10, 2009 at 8:15 pm

I love that the kids (all kids) can literally “monkey” around on that tower. They can reach things that they couldn’t before and it gives them a sense of accomplishment.

PLease count me in…I could sure use one of these in my home for my little one!!!

If chosen the winner; I’d definitely go with the PINK color only because it’s beautiful and it’s one of my two girls’ favorite color!!!!

    Thanks so much!
