First Days…

So we’re definitely not ready for school yet with my son having just turned one, but I do have fond memories of that much anticipated first day.  Growing up as an only child I was really close to my mom.  She was and still is my very best friend.  The thing I loved most about going back to school was the shopping…and boy did we shop!

Most of my memories surrounding that momentous day are  of excitement, nervousness, and change.  Change is inevitable and I think the first day of school teaches children about this aspect of life.  New teachers, new classes, new schedules and new friends challenge and inspire children to grow up.

I loved school.  To this day I still enjoy learning and have even considered going back (yet again!) to obtain either a different degree or advance my nursing knowledge and skills.  So here is to first days!  Be motivated…be inspired…be educated!
