I like that the keypad illuminates.

Do they work on doors inside the house, or just entrance doors? If so, I’d put it on the bathroom door & lock myself in there for a relaxing bubble bath that my toddler couldn’t interrupt.

Thanks for the opportunity to win!

Come check out my giveaways, too:

I would use this on our front door. My favorite features are the whole keypad concept and the flexibility of being able to change access codes.

I like the keypad idea because I have found myself getting a little obsessive about keeping my keys in my pocket in case of getting locked out when I step out to get the mail or check on the kids. I’d love to be able to start the car and then still run back in to get something I forgot.

Being able to change the codes would make me feel secure about the system, and it would be GREAT for giving the cat sitter access to the house when we’re out of town!

  • by tiffany lane July 29, 2008 at 8:34 pm

i like the idea of a keypad lighting up. I would love to win this.

  • by Heather July 29, 2008 at 8:36 pm

This lock is amazing! I love the fact that you can assign a code to different users. It would make it so easy for my girls–and not worrying about having a house key floating around to get lost or stolen is even better. I see endless possibilities for the babysitter, pet sitter when we’re out of town, relatives coming in for a visit, etc. The best thing is that you can change or eliminate the user codes! Awesome feature in my book! This would go on my front door (the only entrance to our apartment) for sure!

  • by Natalie July 29, 2008 at 8:38 pm

I like that it’s so easy to lock, so you don’t need your keys if you’ve put them in the car already. We definitely need this for our front door! ;)

  • by Melissa@Pink Paper Peppermints July 29, 2008 at 10:21 pm

    Hi Caryn,

Just wanted to stop by and say thanks so much for visiting my blog today! :)

    ♥ Melissa~

  • by Heather July 29, 2008 at 11:31 pm

Lots of great features but this one impressed me the most:
Professional grade security features include a warning signal after 4 incorrect attempts. The keypad will also stop working for 30 seconds, which can be a deterrent to would-be burglars

I would put it on my front door since it is the most exposed door. This sounds like it would really make you feel safe. Thanks for the contest!

  • by Victori July 29, 2008 at 11:33 pm

I like the keypad (and the fact that it lights up is a huge plus). My husband and I both misplaced out keys a few weeks ago (actually our two-year-old did it for us), anyhow, this would have been helpful then!

I’d put it either on my front door or maybe the entrance from our garage…

  • by Hil'Lesha July 30, 2008 at 12:38 am

I like that keypad lights up. :)

  • by Tiffany July 30, 2008 at 12:57 am

Oh I love that you can give different codes to different people. I would SO love to have this- it would make me not worry about locking myself out, and the kids could get in anytime. I would use it on our backdoor, because that is where we come and go from most often.

  • by Reiza July 30, 2008 at 1:30 am

I’d put it on our side door. Currently, it doesn’t even stay closed. It needs a new lock because the old one no longer works so you can just push the door open (which freaks me out, but we put a bunch of stuff in front of the door for now).

I love that you don’t need keys. I can’t tell you how many times I misplace mine, so this is perfect.

  • by EG July 30, 2008 at 1:42 am

I’ve actually thought about this one because someone else was giving it away last week!

I think I’d put it on our back door.

And I like that it’s easy to install, ’cause I’m not handy!

  • by Kristine July 30, 2008 at 2:00 am

Illuminating keypad. Oh, I’m thinking of the perfect place for this! Wish me luck!

  • by Awesome Mom July 30, 2008 at 2:12 am

I love that it looks a lot more heafty than the lock we currently have. My husband is very much like yours and is not good about locking our doors. I would put it on our front door.

  • by Tracy July 30, 2008 at 2:32 am

Wow, this is an amazing lock! I would love to have one one the front door for ease-of-use and also one on the back door for added security!

I love the fact that you can give everyone a different code to use. And no more giving out keys to family, neighbors, etc.

    Thanks!

  • by Amy July 30, 2008 at 2:35 am

The simplicity is what I LOVE – we have friends who use this system and it’s so nice – when I dog sit for them I don’t need to get a key – they just give me a code :) I’d put it on my side door – the door we use 95% of the time!

  • by Jill Myrick July 30, 2008 at 3:25 am

This keypad is so perfect for our family. With so many members this would be so much better than handing out keys and expecting the kids to keep up with them.
    My favorite features are that
    1 It’s keyless
    2. It has a Vandal resistant Keyway turn Design
    3. That it is illuminated for night.
I would definitely install this on my front door and feel much safer for it.
Thank you so much for offering this wonderful giveaway.
I would LOVE to win !!

  • by Angela Palmer July 30, 2008 at 4:34 am

I like the large keypad feature. Some of the people around here are old and the eyes are going! I would use this on the front door. With me, Hubby, and 2 kids living here, plus Nana and Grampa and Uncle as the nearby babysitters, there are a lot of people going through that door. I do stupid things like locking my keys in the house, so this would really help around here.

  • by Stephanie V. July 30, 2008 at 5:26 am

The keypad illuminates for nighttime visibility. I would put on our front door!

  • by Michelle July 30, 2008 at 11:09 am

I like that the keypad illuminates at night. If we leave our house during the day, but come home after dark, I can never get my key in the lock the first several tries.

This would definitely be going on our front door.

  • by Jen Manriquez July 30, 2008 at 12:03 pm

    Hi,

Just wanted to say thanks so much for commenting on our Bilingual Fun products on MamasLike. We really appreciate the interest! :)

  • by LadySnow July 30, 2008 at 1:36 pm

It’s nice that it’s easy enough for a child to use, that it lights up, AND it has a lifetime warranty. This would be great for our Front or Back door.

  • by Sandra July 30, 2008 at 3:02 pm

I like the fact that you can use individual codes for house sitters or nannies and don’t have to give out a key. I always worry about someone cutting an extra key to be used at a later date. I would install this at our front door. I would love to win this.

    owatz (AT) telus (DOT) net

  • by CrystalGB July 30, 2008 at 3:22 pm

I would love to win this. We live beside the interstate and this would make me feel safer from people hitchhiking.

  • by Qtpies7 July 30, 2008 at 4:38 pm

I did not know that the keypad will also stop working for 30 seconds, which can be a deterrent to would-be burglars! That is a great feature!
I would put it on my back door. We do have one on our front door. Noone in my family has a key to the house. Weird, I know!

  • by Lisa July 30, 2008 at 5:38 pm

There are many facets of this I love, being able to create unique codes, the lighted keypad, large number for us older folk, and the fact its simple enough for my younger children to use.

I would use these for my front and or back door, I also had a weird thought maybe I could use it to keep my children out of my bedroom and master bathroom. LOL

  • by Katherine Frazier July 30, 2008 at 5:45 pm

I like that there are no keys to lose! I would install this on the front door of my house.

  • by sara l. July 30, 2008 at 5:59 pm

Believe it or not, I have been saving my money to buy one of these! I love the fact that I could leave my keys in my car in the garage and still be able to get in my house! For a scatterbrained Mommy that can’t keep up with her keys, this sounds like the perfect solution! I love that the number pad illuminates and that you can add/delete multiple users! Thanks for such a generous giveaway…I’ll be keeping my fingers (and toes) crossed! LOL!

  • by Kristin July 30, 2008 at 6:52 pm

I would put this on my front door. The best part?

    1. Knowing I’m safe and secure
    2. The keypad that lights up. That’s a great feature!

  • by Memarie Lane July 30, 2008 at 9:11 pm

I love the no-key feature! My kids are always locking me out of the house. Plus we live in a very scary neighborhood, and I’d sleep a lot better at night if we had a better lock. Thanks for the opportunity!

  • by Patti July 30, 2008 at 9:12 pm

This would be great on our garage door! Perfect because it lights up and the garage gets very dark after you close the door!!

  • by Trisha July 30, 2008 at 9:33 pm

This would be awesome! I would love it for my front door, since if we don’t deadbolt it, we can break in with a credit card! I am always forgetting my keys, so this would be great! I love that it is durable and can withstand different weather issues. I love…well, everything about this! I really want one! Please, pick me, pick me! :)

  • by Sandy July 30, 2008 at 11:22 pm

I have so been wanting one of these…First because I am a techie and second because it would make it so easy to get in the house. I would put in on my porch door.

  • by Tammy July 30, 2008 at 11:54 pm

We live in a condominium building where the workers had access to our units while they were being finished, it has always made me a bit nervous that someone had a key (and still possibly does) to my home. We have yet to do anything about it yet, and have been fortunate enough to not had any problems. Enter also a 12 year old child, who is constantly losing/forgetting her house key, and has no way to enter. I love the fact that Installation is relatively easy and can be completed with a screwdriver in about 30 minutes. Heck if my hubby can install a new garbage disposer then he could install this too I bet!

We would put this on our front door, for the reasons stated above. Never having to worry about keys floating around and/or our own child and her key issues!

    Thanks for the chance.

  • by Kam A July 31, 2008 at 12:12 am

I like that it is easy to install and that it lights up! I would put it on my front door. This would come in handy because my almost two-year-old has taken to locking the door when I take the garbage out or run out for the mail. Thank you for the giveaway!

  • by Debbie July 31, 2008 at 2:13 am

I’d put this on our back door. I love the fact that you can change the code, and that you wouldn’t need keys. We have had keys made three times to give our teenagers and they have not worked any of the three times! I also love the light up feature. The older I get, the less I see at night. Thanks for the chance to win.

  • by Suzie G July 31, 2008 at 2:33 am

I would put this on our garage door. I’m always afraid we’re going to leave the car door open and people will come into our home.

  • by Rhonda Martin July 31, 2008 at 3:34 am

This would be great for my front door since I always lock it and then realize my keys are in the house. This way I wouldn’t be locked out all the time. Thanks for having a great giveaway.

  • by Kathie July 31, 2008 at 4:32 am

This would be awesome. I’ve been locked out of my house by my 3 y.o. telling her how to unlock the deadbolt is nervewracking. Thanks for the chance to win. Visit mine at http://www.mypreppypurse.blogspot.com

  • by Alka July 31, 2008 at 9:14 am

I like the warning signal feature for simple reasons! Too many attempts probably means a family member trying to get in who was told not too, hehe.

    Thank you Rockin Mama!

  • by Kimberly V. July 31, 2008 at 11:02 am

I love that it easily installs (we are not handy people), it’s a keyless entry and you can easily change the codes.

We only have one door (we live in a condo) and I cannot tell you HOW MANY TIMES I worry that I am going to lock myself out of the home when I take the dog for a walk or run down to get the mail. That is my worst fear. There is no one in our building during the day except two men who work nights and sleep all day. If I don’t have my cell phone on me (I don’t usually carry it when walking the dog) I have no way to get in touch with my husband at work.

We got locked out once and my husband had to climb up to our top floor balcony (it was scray!) to come in through our balcony door. We can’t do that again and calling in a locksmith is $$$$$.

Thank you for a very generous (and very needed!) giveaway.

  • by kristen July 31, 2008 at 1:41 pm

i heart the large print numbers, that it illuminates, that you don’t need a key . . . . i would put it on our garage entrance to our home . . . thanks for a fun giveaway! kristen.

  • by CanCan (Mom Most Traveled) July 31, 2008 at 2:22 pm

I like that different people can have their own codes. That is a great idea!

I would use this on the front door!

    onlycancan at hotmail dot com

  • by Charlotte July 31, 2008 at 2:28 pm

I like that it lights up at night. Too many times I get home and realize that I forgot to turn on the porch light. I spend a lot of time fiddling around trying to get the key in the lock. Also, I like the idea of having multiple codes for different people. My stepdaughter could always get in without having to worry about remembering her key. Thanks for the giveaway!

  • by Belinda P July 31, 2008 at 2:39 pm

I love this idea. I would put it on our front door. My favorite part is the keypad and that you can also channge the code if you need to. Thanks for the great giveaway!

    hottmomma_03@yahoo.com

  • by Ginny July 31, 2008 at 3:07 pm

I like the keypad is easiest enough for kids, that makes not having to worry about kids losing keys great.

I’d use this on my front door. My parents have a similar one & it is really nice.

  • by Rachel July 31, 2008 at 3:09 pm

It’s great the the key pad lights up – we live in the middle of the woods, so it can be DARk when we come home! I’d put this on my front door. There have been lots of break-ins in my town recently, so I’d love to win this! Thanks!

  • by Lisa P July 31, 2008 at 3:49 pm

I love the fact that its keyless, no need to worry about lost keys and being locked oyt! I would put it on my side door.

  • by Valerie July 31, 2008 at 4:37 pm

I like the professional grade security features with the warning signal after 4 incorrect attempts. I live just a few minutes away from that deadly Cheshire, CT home invasion which happened last summer. It changed me. My husband is not a worrier, but if I won this I’d feel MUCH better. I’d put it on a door that faces the woods. Thanks for the chance at this :o )

  • by Jodi July 31, 2008 at 5:41 pm

I love that you can change the codes, and that you can make codes for different people. This would be great for baby sitters, dog walkers and such. I would use this on my back door if I were to win.

  • by Sweetpeas July 31, 2008 at 5:47 pm

I’ve been wanting to get one of these for our basement door. The landlord can’t find a key to our basement door so this would solve my fear of getting locked out AND give me access to the basement w/o going through the house.

  • by Dukedorn July 31, 2008 at 5:55 pm

I like that it has a safety feature that deters thieves trying to break the code.
I would install it on my garage door to keep the kids out.

  • by Isn’t This Precious? « Rockin’ Mama July 31, 2008 at 6:37 pm

  • by Jessica July 31, 2008 at 7:40 pm

Cool! I like that it has a keypad that lights up. Thanks!

  • by Melissa July 31, 2008 at 9:36 pm

I like that the keypad illuminates! I would install it on my backdoor. It has a self lock on it that I’m so afraid I’m going to lock myself out with, especially since that is the one and only way in and out of our backyard and I don’t think I could climb that fence!

  • by divrchk July 31, 2008 at 9:56 pm

I love that it allows for multiple user codes. I would install this on my front door.

  • by Doreen Riopel July 31, 2008 at 9:58 pm

I would feel a whole lot safer with this prize.

  • by Peter July 31, 2008 at 11:20 pm

Install location – front door, definitely.

    Favorite feature(s)?

    1. Keyless entry can work – great for my daughter and for when we forget or don’t have our keys for whatever reason.

    2. Ability to enter codes for visiting people or to give out codes to friends watching the house for us while we’re gone. That’s pretty cool as my parents typically visit once a year or so.

    3. Lighted #’s – very cool and useful.

    4. 3yrs of battery? That’s pretty cool, too. Not sure how realistic that is in normal scenarios, but it’s useful.

    5. The anti-vandal technology sounds quite useful as well, especially if someone is going to mess with the lock for some reason.

Wish they were a little cheaper, though. Hard to budget $150 for a single lock, no matter how cool it is.

  • by Robyn July 31, 2008 at 11:25 pm

I really like that I don’t have to worry if we don’t have the house key with us when we leave. My husband uses a different key ring for the car keys and the house (I don’t know why – he’s a guy and odd) and so I am always asking him when we leave if he has his house key. I never know if mine are in my purse or someplace else which is why I rely on him. So just being able to use a code would be great! We would definitely use this on the main door which is what we use most often.

Oh, and you aren’t alone with the chair thing. My mom said she does the same thing when my father goes to the lake fishing.

I’ve also linked back to you on my blog here:

  • by Marilyn August 1, 2008 at 12:09 am

Security and convenience are two of the things I like about this lock. I’d install it on my front door!

  • by emily roper August 1, 2008 at 12:19 am

wow, im actually really excited about this chance! my dad installs security systems, so i am much like you!! :) heard too many bad stories! so i liked your review and love that it lights up at night and that it sends off an alarm after 4 mis-trys!! no-guessy guessy! :)
i would be thrilled to win! i will be out of town when your announcing the winner, so hopefully i’ll get to check…and win! :)
    thanks!

i love that batteries are included! as the mother of a toddler i’m constantly running out of batteries for his toys, so little things like this make me happy.
would probably go on the back door (outside door).

  • by Sarah B August 1, 2008 at 2:06 am

i like how it lights up, perfect for night! This would be great for the front door. espically since we live down the street from the jail!

  • by Cindi August 1, 2008 at 2:57 am

Hello! I have read good things about this electronic keypad locks. Our front door would definitely be the place this lock would go. I like how one can add, change or delete user codes in seconds. Please enter me in your drawing. Thanks, Cindi

  • by Jeanine August 1, 2008 at 2:58 am

What a great idea this would come in so handy after a shopping trip. With 2 small children and bags fumbling for my keys is such a pain in the butt. No need to fear being locked out of the house. My biggest fear is my purse getting stolen and the theif having my address and my keys. This would totally eliminate that fear.

  • by Staci J. August 1, 2008 at 2:58 am

I love how easy it is to add and delete codes and how you can have codes for different people. I won’t need to search my purse for my keys anymore as I juggle my two kids. I would love to have it on our front door.

  • by valmg August 1, 2008 at 3:09 am

Nighttime illuminated keypad would be very handy.
I’d install it on the front door.

  • by Christina August 1, 2008 at 3:40 am

I like this feature mentioned in your review:

“One of the features I truly appreciate about these locks is the ability to create unique codes for individuals who have access to our home.”

I totally agree with your comment, this is great!

I would use this on the door of my apartment, there are a lot of strange people that wonder in and out of breezeway during the night, this will put some of my fears to rest.

  • by Angela K August 1, 2008 at 4:03 am

I’d use it on my front door. The best feature is that you can have unique codes for different people, and that each code can be deactivated individually.

  • by Gina Stratos August 1, 2008 at 4:15 am

Love that I can install it myself and that it doesn’t require keys (my daughter always forgets hers). I’d use it on our front door.

    I love the illuminating keypad.

I’d put it on my backdoor. Thanks so much for the opportunity.

  • by Janet F August 1, 2008 at 8:41 am

My favorite features are that the Schlage locks are high quality, and durable.

It is very important to me that they are are the most secure keypad deadbolts for residential use.

I like that they have a solid brass exterior.

It is also important to me that the large print numbers on the keypad are easy to read, I have problems when it is dark and trying to open my door, so this wouuld be perfect.

I would install this on my front door.

  • by Jennifer M August 1, 2008 at 8:54 am

I like that the keypad illuminates so you don’t have to worry about fumbling around in the dark. I’d definitely use it on the front door. We just bought a new house and I’m worried that everyone has a copy of the keys. Thanks.

  • by caila611 August 1, 2008 at 11:47 am

I like the fact that is has a vandal resistant keyway! Just one more defense against home invasion. I think we would put it on our front door!

  • by Ellie August 1, 2008 at 2:11 pm

I love that it lights up in the dark- so convenient! I would install it on our front door.

  • by Angie August 1, 2008 at 2:45 pm

This is so cool. I love that it illuminates because I would beg hubby to put it on the door from the garage to the house. Thanks for the chance to enter.

This is great! I love the ease of installation and the fact that there are no keys to carry. I would use this on my back door!

  • by Marci August 1, 2008 at 3:42 pm

Being able to change the access code is wonderful. I am in desparate need of this lock on my front door. Our lock is broken and the handle is just about to fall off. We really need something very soon….

  • by kelli August 1, 2008 at 3:46 pm

I like that the installation is quick and easy — if not, it would never get finished.

I would put this on our front door.

  • by Michele McHenry August 1, 2008 at 3:52 pm

I lived in LA for about 9 months and had either my home broken into, my car, or my purse stolen! I also came from a small town in Alaska and was too trusting, or just did not think so many people were looking to steal from me at all times! You know they even stole my Babies Car Seat from the car..not to mention the hub caps? At least they missed the antique diamond watch that was inbetween the seats in a hidden compartment. That I had to sell to buy another Car seat with!

I am tickled about the lighted keys and large numbers since I am a little sight challenged, not to mention the extra keys just in case since I am challenged memory wise also! But, because heavy Keys and key rings are the number one reason your ignition thingy goes out on your car, I keep the least amount of keys on my key ring as possible.

I would definitly be installing this on our new home that closes here August 14th. If I win or not. As an agent, I insist my clients have all the locks changed and usually will get them new ones as closing gifts if they had not got one already…and they are always made by Schlage! You never know who has a set! And when I went to see the house the other day…I found a neighbor going through everything, who had a set of keys! Scary…very scary!

  • by Stacy F. August 1, 2008 at 3:52 pm

My favorite feature is that the professional grade security features include a warning signal after 4 incorrect attempts. The keypad will also stop working for 30 seconds, which can be a deterrent to would-be burglars

Actually, my favorite feature is that it’s KEYLESS! We’d install this lock on our front door so that we never have to take a cab home from the airport and call a locksmith at 11pm ever again!

  • by Lachelle August 1, 2008 at 5:09 pm

I love that it lights up, has different unique codes and is a great solution for those times I’ve gotten locked out of my house.

I’d definitely put it on my front door since that is pretty much the only door we use in our house. I can’t tell you how much trouble this would save us! :)

  • by Christian Kay August 1, 2008 at 5:55 pm

We just moved into our very first home this week and the sellers are messing with us…I don’t know what we did to make them mad but they have already caused quite a few problems for us. I am very scared that they have the keys still but we just can’t afford getting the locks re-keyed just yet.

I LOVE the fact that we could install a keyless pad because honestly the time it takes me to get my key out and fumble with it at the door, someone could easily attack me. The best function as far as I am concerned (besides the keyless function) is that it lights up for those late nights.

I would definitely have it installed in our front door. Gosh…now that I think about it, the sellers even have the code to our garage. we really need this!

  • by Kim August 1, 2008 at 5:56 pm

I love the light up feature! How cool for at night time. I wold put it on my front door. No more loosing keys and when I take the kids for a walk or down the street I don’t ahve to worry about locking up the house and taking keys with me! Too cool!!!

  • by Rodney K August 1, 2008 at 6:13 pm

Such a simple but bright idea.

  • by Stacy August 1, 2008 at 6:26 pm

I like that the keypad illuminates at night. I hate trying to find the hole when its dark outside.

This would definitely be going on our front door.

  • by Chrysa August 1, 2008 at 6:58 pm

I really like that it has a warning signal after 4 incorrect attempts. I would put this on our back door. Thanks for the giveaway!

  • by sandy August 1, 2008 at 8:07 pm

love the fact its easy to change the code

  • by Kristin Walsh August 1, 2008 at 10:03 pm

There are so many awesome features about this lock, that I am not sure which is my favorite. I do love that it illuminates! I would put it on my front door. There have been a number of times that I have come home later than anticipated and had a hard time opening the door because it was so dark. This lock would make it so much safer for us. I also love that you can give different codes. That would be great for my parents when they have come to check on us for some reason, and they didn’t have a key. What a wonderful product!

  • by Marla Bland August 2, 2008 at 12:40 am

Very Cool! The keypad eilluminates for nighttime visibility is a great feature. Plus Installation is relatively easy. Love both of those features. It would definitely go on our front door.

  • by Princess Leia August 2, 2008 at 1:20 am

I love the keyless entry since I’m _ALWAYS_ digging for my keys when we get to the door.

We’d put it in our front door since that’s the only keyed exterior door we have in our condo! :)

  • by Xenia August 2, 2008 at 1:52 am

I know other people have mentioned this, but the fact that the keypad illuminates is really great. I would put this immediately on our front door so that when I take my daughter and dog out for a walk I don’t have to worry about fumbling with keys or forgetting to bring them altogether!

  • by Becca August 2, 2008 at 2:25 am

I like that you can program different codes for different people. I’d install the lock on my front door.

  • by Peggy Gorman August 2, 2008 at 4:57 am

When you get to the front and your arms are filled its nice to know all you have to do is put in the combo and you are in the house. Great giveaway, please count me in because keys are a pain and I love this lock!!

  • by Jodi August 2, 2008 at 12:43 pm

I actually found several things that I liked about the Schlage lock.
First I like the large print #’s which would make them easy to see/read. And the lifetime warranty, so many products made today do not stand up to the wear and tear of everyday use.
I would have to help my dear hubby and we would install this Schlage lock on our front door.
Thanks for the FANTASTIC giveaway. We would be blessed and secure (if) we were to win this Schlage lock.

  • by Dena August 2, 2008 at 6:40 pm

I would so love to win this. I live alone and if I get locked out, I have no one to let me in. I love that the keypad is lluminated.

  • by Tricia Mc. August 2, 2008 at 9:00 pm

I like alot of the features – the fact that it illuminates for dark evening also that we could give a code to someone if they needed to check things out while we’re away instead of having to physically get them a key. I would put it on our front door.

    Thanks!

  • by Jo August 3, 2008 at 1:34 am

I would use it on our front door and it would make my life soooooooooo much easier because I am constantly losing my keys. :)

One of the features mentioned that I like is “The keypad illuminates for nighttime visibility” but honestly, it has so many fantastic features on it. Wow.

  • by Bree August 3, 2008 at 2:08 am

I like the idea of a keypad lighting up. It would help on those dark nights! I’ install this on my side garage door! What a great product!

  • by Jean August 3, 2008 at 5:15 am

The keypad lights up! So helpful.

I’d (have my husband) put it on the door from the garage into the house. It’s a pain to struggle with keys!

  • by Karin August 3, 2008 at 6:09 am

I like the fact that the deadbolt is one of the most secure residential types and also that the keypad illuminates. That makes for a nice combo of security and functionality.

If I were to win, this would go right on the front door.

  • by Melisa August 3, 2008 at 7:21 am

I love the vandal resistant keyway turn design feature. I would use this on my front door – not only is this lock beautiful enough to showcase, but our deadbolt broke about a month ago and we haven’t replaced it yet (shh! don’t tell the bad guys).

  • by danandmarsh August 3, 2008 at 3:35 pm

Dear hubby can’t keep track of keys to save his soul, this would be a big help!

  • by Michelle August 3, 2008 at 10:07 pm

I like the large numbers. My 9 year old is almost completely blind so she can’t unlock a regular lock because she can’t see where the key should go, however she’s at that age where she wants to help mom out by opening up doors so I can bring in the little kids, groceries, etc….I think she’d find this easy to use.

We usually come in through the garage so that’s probably where I’d install it, also our front door has a security screen so I feel it’s pretty secure. The lock on the garage door is another story, why do they put such flimsy locks on doors leading OUTSIDE of the house?

Anyway, great givaway!! Thanks for considering us!!

  • by Mary @ Adventures in Mommyland August 4, 2008 at 6:04 am

I like that it lights up at night so you can easily get in the door. I would put it on the front door probably. Great giveaway, thanks!

  • by Michelle August 4, 2008 at 7:57 am

I like that the pad lights up. I am forget full and if i leave the house before its gets dark, i usually forget to put the porch light on. So im out fumbling with the keys for a few mintues. So I would put it on the front door.

Thanks for hosting this awesome give away!

My husband and I actually went to home depot to look at these in person…we love the idea! We wouldn’t have to worry about our kids misplacing their keys or ever getting locked out! Wish me luck!!

    Katyshops at comcast.net

  • by klm August 4, 2008 at 6:47 pm

I love that it lights up and lets everyone have a different code. I really super need this for my front door because we live in the woods and there are neighborhood teenagers and we once found them in our basement!! Plus we wouldn’t need to carry keys and we have 7 people living in my house (me, husband, 3 grown sons, daughter in law, and 11 month old grandson) so the safety issue is high.

Thanks so much for the chance!! I am going to cross all my fingers and toes!!

  • by Jennifer Barnett August 4, 2008 at 6:53 pm

    1. Their solid brass exterior finish has been tested to withstand harsh environmental conditions.

    2. I’d put it on my backdoor.

  • by Marilyn Wons August 4, 2008 at 7:08 pm

The feature I like is that it has a solid brass exterior finish. I would use it in the hallway by the front door.

  • by Joe August 4, 2008 at 7:11 pm

This is a really important feature to me: The keypad illuminates for nighttime visibility. I would install it on the front door of my mother’s house.

  • by Angie E August 4, 2008 at 7:19 pm

The Electronic Keypad Deadbolt Lock is a very nice gift to give away!

One of the many good features of this lock I like is:

The Professional grade security features include a warning signal after 4 incorrect attempts. The keypad will also stop working for 30 seconds, which can be a deterrent to would-be burglars

If I were fortunate enough to win this, I would install it on our front door.

Thank you for the very, very generous giveaway! By doing this you are giving one special family added security!!

  • by Kathy Scott August 4, 2008 at 7:32 pm

This would be great for my teenage kids who never remember their keys. Thanks for the chance.

  • by Michelle L. August 4, 2008 at 7:43 pm

I like the ability to create unique codes for individuals and I would install it on the front door.

  • by michael woods August 4, 2008 at 7:44 pm

I love the illuminated feature of the keypad, and I would install this on our main front door..thanks

  • by susan varney August 4, 2008 at 7:50 pm

    creating unique codes

  • by Jay Kloosterman August 4, 2008 at 7:57 pm

I want to have the lighted keypad, and I want to put them on the front door so I can keep it up for security purposes.

  • by Lorraine August 4, 2008 at 8:01 pm

The large print numbers on the keypad are easy to read. This would be a definite benefit with my eyesight.
I would use it on a door that leads into my house from my garage, since I often leave the garage door open.

  • by Kelly Ann T. August 4, 2008 at 8:03 pm

No keys to hide, lose, carry or forget. I could really use this for the front door. It needs a makeover. Thank you so much for the giveaway.

  • by Kara August 4, 2008 at 8:11 pm

I think the fact that you can assign different codes to people is wonderful. I would put this on our front door and be so happy we had it!!

  • by Margaret Smith August 4, 2008 at 8:51 pm

What a great giveaway. I’d install this on our front door. I love that the keypad illuminates and that this is the most secure keypad deadbolts for residential use. Thank you so much for offering this very generous giveaway. What a wonderful prize.

  • by Darcy August 4, 2008 at 9:01 pm

I love that it illuminates. I would install this on our front door. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  • by Teresa N. August 4, 2008 at 9:04 pm

Different codes to different people is an awesome feature!!!

I would install it on my front door.

This would be great to own.

Thank you for the great giveaway!

Variety of styles and eight finishes to match your existing home decor is important because our two main doors are near each other. I’d want the locks to look somewhat consistent. I’d install it on my front door.

  • by Sonya Sparks August 4, 2008 at 9:40 pm

I like the lighted keypad idea. I would use it at my kitchen door.

  • by Maja August 4, 2008 at 9:48 pm

I love that it illuminates. So cool. Front door is where I’d put it.

  • by Will August 4, 2008 at 9:59 pm

I like the fact that Schlage locks can be re-keyed to match existing housekey. I also like the fact that when I’m away, my family is safe.

  • by Dawn B August 4, 2008 at 10:07 pm

I speak from experience because hubby just installed one for my mom over this past weekend and they are AWESOME! I love that everyone in the house can have a code they can remember themselves and the illuminated keypad is great and easy to use. I want one for my front door so I don’t have to fumble with keys when I’m carrying groceries.

  • by DL Stephens August 4, 2008 at 10:19 pm

Because my mom is getting older, we decided to move in together so she would feel better with someone else around. Even when I am gone from the house, she feels more comfortable when all the doors and windows are secured and locked. Thanks for the contest!

  • by christopher h August 4, 2008 at 10:33 pm

i’d use it to secure the back door

  • by Skip August 4, 2008 at 10:44 pm

I love not having to worry about keys.

This would be a pleasure to install on our front door.

  • by Aimee August 4, 2008 at 11:06 pm

Wow. Reading your review has me beyond impressed with this product. I love everything about it – but one feature that stood out to me was “Professional grade security features include a warning signal after 4 incorrect attempts. The keypad will also stop working for 30 seconds, which can be a deterrent to would-be burglars” — I like that it would keep someone from guessing and guessing. Love too that it is professional grade. Having this would surely make me feel more safe.
I would want to put it in my front door – like you – until I was able to put it on all of our doors. I have been wanting to do something security wise. I have big fears about things like this, and have nightmares of break ins. I know this would make me feel much more at ease about our safety.
Thanks so much for teaching me about this product and for the chance to win!

  • by Christine August 4, 2008 at 11:30 pm

First, I want to say that my husband is constantly losing my keys so this would be wonderful for us. I love several features, that it’s illuminated at night, that the keypad is large and easy to read and the variety of styles and finishes are great also. I would install it on my front door. Thank you for the chance to win it!

  • by Elena August 4, 2008 at 11:39 pm

My favorite feature is that “the keypad is simple enough for even small children to operate.” I’d love to install this on my front door so my kids can get into the house without the possibility of losing a key. Thanks for a great contest!

  • by Ellen L August 4, 2008 at 11:46 pm

This lock has great security features. I especially like that there is a the warning signal after 4 incorrect attempts, and that the keypad will also stop working for 30 seconds.

I would love to have this for my front entrance door.

Thank you so much for offering this!

  • by Adrienne Gordon August 4, 2008 at 11:49 pm

love the different code option, I would put it on my bedroom door

  • by Gaye McGill August 4, 2008 at 11:53 pm

Your review makes lots of good points, but I really like the fact that “The keypad illuminates for nighttime visibility”. I’d put this lock on my front door.

  • by Debra Ford August 5, 2008 at 12:24 am

I really like that you can use this lock with unique codes and that there are also mechanical keys as a back up.

If I won, I’d use this on my front door. We don’t have any lock there except the key lock. We could use the extra security.

    Thanks for the giveaway.

  • by Carlyn Bellor August 5, 2008 at 12:44 am

I need this product! We have one house key…and I always forget I have it in my hand and have to get out of the truck to hide it….secretly hoping that neighbors didnt see where I put the key!

  • by Milton Hicks August 5, 2008 at 1:22 am

Professional grade security for my front door and also for the door from the garage. Would make me feel safer at night.

  • by Nicholas Burvee August 5, 2008 at 2:16 am

Got one of these babies for a gift and love the heck out of it…now one for the back door…

  • by MaryAnn August 5, 2008 at 2:16 am

Being able to program different codes for different people is a great feature. I would love to have this for our front entry.

  • by Tonya Froemel August 5, 2008 at 2:17 am

I so need this because my hubby has a real obsession with the front door and making sure it’s locked. Also, since there is no light by our front door, we would still be able to get in cause it lights up.

  • by Anh August 5, 2008 at 3:05 am

The key pad is a very convenient feature. Since it lights up, no need to fumble with the keys. this would definitely go on my front door.

  • by Cori Westphal August 5, 2008 at 3:27 am

I love the fact that there is a battery backup. There’s not really a chance at all that I’d be locked out…considering I remember the code! I would put this on my front door. It’s our only normal door. The others are patio doors. Thanks for the great contest!

  • by Danai August 5, 2008 at 3:38 am

I was just playing with the display model for this exact lock last week at Home Depot and marveled at how cool it is. I was impressed that it’s high quality and appears to be very durable. It’s pretty cool how it lights up too. (It’s the little things that amuse me in life.)

My favorite feature is “No keys to hide, lose, carry or forget.” It would allow my daughter to get in and not have to worry about her forgetting her key. We’d put it on the front door.

  • by cynthia mccoy August 5, 2008 at 3:38 am

the keyless entry is a plus (the fact that it lights up is also nice!). i’d definitely put it on my front door.

  • by Joanna Allison August 5, 2008 at 3:56 am

I like the fact that the keypad is simple enough for even small children to operate. Should be easy for me too. I would put this lock on the front door of our house. My 30 year old son has a hard time getting his key to work and this would be great. minute11@gmail.com

  • by sandra williams August 5, 2008 at 4:02 am

I love the fact it illuminates.

This would go on our camp door since we always forget the keys after we’ve walked all teh way in!

  • by Tracy Iglesias August 5, 2008 at 4:35 am

Definitely the fact that this is keyless for one, illuminated key pad would definitely go on front door, but I’m also tempted to put in my bedroom closet, keep people from ‘borrowing’ stuff and never returning it ;)

  • by Autumn H. August 5, 2008 at 5:16 am

I like that I can change codes – I would use this on our front door – I am always losing my keys so a code would be much better!

  • by Kristi C August 5, 2008 at 9:50 am

I love that this has a keypad entry. I would use this on my front door considering how often my toddler has locked the door with the keys still in the house.

  • by Cynthia C August 5, 2008 at 11:02 am

It’s important that it is a deadbolt. There are so many great features to this lock- keyless entry, lighted keypad, durable finish. It would go on my front door to replace the old lock that gives me fits. Thanks so much for the chance to win.

  • by Deborah R August 5, 2008 at 11:06 am

I like that the numbers are large print and illuminated, since my eyes need all the help they can get.

I’d put the lock on my kitchen door, which has only a skeleton key lock.

  • by Sydney August 5, 2008 at 11:46 am

Because of the changeable functions, this is a secure lock. Additionally, the features of keypad and lighted pad are convenient; one less key to carry. I’d use this on my front door.

  • by Adam August 5, 2008 at 12:30 pm

Getting in to my detached garage before going to work at 1 in the morning would be a whole lot easier with the light up keypad.

  • by Cynthia Rockwell August 5, 2008 at 12:46 pm

I enjoy the fact as stated in the review that Schlage’s keyless entry lock gives you both security and convenience.
I would put it on our back door, the door we always use.

  • by Kimberly August 5, 2008 at 12:53 pm

I like it for the simple fact that if I’m not home before my son gets off the bus, and he forgets the key AGAIN. He can get himself inside the house. Thanx for the contest.

  • by Nikki August 5, 2008 at 1:07 pm

I need this because I loose my keys all the time! This would be great to put on the new front door we are planning to get soon. :)

  • by Susan L. August 5, 2008 at 1:16 pm

I would put this on the front door of my new house that is being built!!!

  • by Al August 5, 2008 at 1:46 pm

All of the features are great, but especially that it is lit up at night. I’d put it on the front door. Thanks.

  • by Kari Follett August 5, 2008 at 1:48 pm

The illumating keypad is a big plus.

I’d put it at my sliding glass door on the side by our deck. That’s the door my kids use most.

  • by Lisa Fosses August 5, 2008 at 2:14 pm

No keys to hide, lose, carry or forget so I can’t get locked out. I’d put it on the garage door.

  • by Carol G August 5, 2008 at 2:22 pm

I like the ability to have temporary access for people that you may trust to go into your house, but will not be ‘permanent’ entrants. Would probably put it on the side door, since that is used the most.

  • by Jason C August 5, 2008 at 3:30 pm

I like the resistant keyway turn design feature. I would use it on our front and side doors.

  • by Clifton Wade August 5, 2008 at 3:35 pm

    What a great prize.
Thanks for all the excellent contests!

  • by jffryclough August 5, 2008 at 3:59 pm

i love the fact that it’s electronic and i’d put it on my front door

  • by Angela J August 5, 2008 at 4:21 pm

Allows you to change codes, that way I can give the code to whichever family is visiting and not worry it will get passed on, or lost, etc.

  • by Michelle August 5, 2008 at 4:30 pm

I like the fact that the keypad is simple enough for even small children to operate. My daughter can never figure out how to use a key but she remembers the combination to her bike lock. With 4 kids (3 already grown), it would be great to install this lock so I wouldn’t have to give all of them keys that could be lost or forgotten.

I’d put this lock right on my front door. It’s too attractive to be hidden in the back of the house.

  • by Paige August 5, 2008 at 4:34 pm

Wow, the keypad is illuminated. I would use this on the front door of my house!

  • by Polly August 5, 2008 at 5:03 pm

I love that the keypad is illuminated, making it easy to see at night. I work odd hours so this feature would come in very handy.

  • by Jennifer M August 5, 2008 at 5:07 pm

My apartment front door–I live in Harlem. I like that it can be installed easily, because locksmiths are very pricey here.

  • by tim brown August 5, 2008 at 5:07 pm

  • by Margaret Lee August 5, 2008 at 5:59 pm

I really like the way the keypad lights up. I would use this on my front dooe.

  • by Steve Scott August 5, 2008 at 5:59 pm

My boys are finally old enough to be at home by themselves. This would allow them to get into the house after school without a key.

  • by Debra F. August 5, 2008 at 6:14 pm

Not having to use a key would be handy. This lock would look great on my front door.

  • by M.A. August 5, 2008 at 7:21 pm

No keys to lose—-AND easy installation! Wow!

  • by Carmen A August 5, 2008 at 7:30 pm

I love that the locks feature a vandal resistant keyway turn design which rotates freely until a valid user code is entered. I would install it in our front door!

  • by Maggie Mannwieler August 5, 2008 at 8:00 pm

First, I agree with you that a key feature of this lock is the ability to create unique codes for individuals who have access to my house – our neighbors watch/feed our cat for us whenever we’re away, and, our kids don’t have keys to our house. I would definitely install the lock on my front door. I love these features, too: large print numbers, that the keypad illuminates for night time visibility and that the lock has a vandal resistant keypad turn design. Thanks for offering such a great, useful giveaway. We all want to fell safe and secure in our homes.

  • by connie s. August 5, 2008 at 9:06 pm

  • by STEPHANIE HOUGEN August 5, 2008 at 10:22 pm

My kids are terrible at losing keys but have great memories. I LOVE the idea of a number code to unlock the door.

  • by Linda Moeller August 5, 2008 at 11:10 pm

I like that it lights up.

Probably the door between the garage and basement. My other three doors are steel with double locks & deadbolts.

  • by Anne D August 6, 2008 at 12:01 am

I’d put it at the back of the house off of our deck. Love the fact that it lights up.

  • by Sylvia Belle August 6, 2008 at 1:02 am

I would love to get away from using a key and have a new lock on my front door.

  • by Michael August 6, 2008 at 1:52 am

    No keys

  • by Linda August 6, 2008 at 3:15 am

No key to lose, just your mind.
    Front door.

  • by Christine M August 6, 2008 at 5:37 am

I love the keypad! It is easier than you might think to lock yourself out of the house. (I’ve done it more than once!) Being able to get back in without a key, and still feeling that your house is secure is very nice!

I would put it on my back door, right off the deck, because we use that door so much.

  • by Terri D August 6, 2008 at 5:49 am

Lighted keypad and keyless entry. I will put it on my front door.

  • by Queen of the Click August 6, 2008 at 7:33 am

I would love to win the lock and put it on my front door. I live in Brooklyn, New York. Robberies are pretty common in this urban area. I would love to win the lock for some extra security.

You have a nice review of the Schlage Electonic Keypad Deadbolt Lock. The feature that I like about the Schlage lock is that there is a warning signal after four incorrect attempts. I also like that there is a deadbolt that can easily be locked.

  • by Queen of the Click August 6, 2008 at 7:33 am

I am also following you on Twitter.

  • by Victoria V. August 6, 2008 at 9:47 am

I like the illuminating keypad and multiple codes. I would use it on my front door.

  • by Rick Stafford August 6, 2008 at 10:43 am

I agree with Linda, no key to lose. That would be great. Linda, if you see a mind running around, its probably mine.

  • by david basile August 6, 2008 at 11:44 am

ok whats not too like its Schlage a igh quality lock its keyless its illuminated for night

  • by Jean Fischer August 6, 2008 at 12:22 pm

I would definitely install this on our front door. It’s dark out there, and the illumination would help

  • by Dan Riley August 6, 2008 at 2:25 pm

    The lighted keypad is awesome!

I would want this on my front door, that way, I could go out for a bicycle ride without having to take my keys!

  • by sarah August 6, 2008 at 3:43 pm

I like the warning signal. I’d put this right on my back door.

  • by Terry Cross August 6, 2008 at 3:49 pm

One feature I like is that Schlage’s high quality, durable locks are the most secure keypad deadbolts for residential use. We would use this on our new front door we are getting. We live in a rural area but break-ins are on the rise even here. I would feel much safer with this especially since I am home alone during the day and I would sleep feeling safer at night. Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

  • by Tamara Straughn August 6, 2008 at 8:29 pm

All of the locks on my home are Schlage and I would really enjoy not having to be burdened with my keys when I leave the house to visit with the neighbors, walk the dog etc …..

  • by Justin Gall August 6, 2008 at 8:38 pm

This would be awesome, because I loose my keys all the time. Unfortunately I attach my keys to my mind, and I loose that a lot too. But without a mind and a key, I’d have no way of remembering the combination, and I couldn’t get inside anyways. Ah, but I digress.

  • by Erica C. August 6, 2008 at 9:18 pm

I love that the keypad illuminates, which will be good when I come home from work after night shifts. Also, I like that it sounds off an alarm after 4 incorrect attempts! I’d put this at my back door b/c it’s the least visible and the easiest target!

  • by Vergie August 6, 2008 at 10:21 pm

    warning signal

  • by Christie August 7, 2008 at 12:32 am

I already have one Schlage lock set and I would like to replace my other two doors with Schlage. I would use this one for my garage interior door which opens into the house. It is much easier to hit the keypad than to fumble for a key when your arms are full of grocery bags.

The large key keypad and illumination are my favorite details from your review.

  • by Bonnie Day August 7, 2008 at 1:11 am

I love the fact that it is keyless. no more stumbling in the dark looking for my keys to get in the house I also love the fact that I can change the numbers when I feel the need to love that feature I would use it on my front entrance door

  • by Anthony Hedden August 7, 2008 at 2:09 am

I like that it lights up

  • by Art B August 7, 2008 at 2:53 am

I love that this is a deadbolt, and that it’s keyless–I’d use it on the front door, and I wouldn’t need to carry a key when I go for a morning run.

  • by R Hicks August 7, 2008 at 3:19 am

I have seen these before and wanted one. I just love the idea of the keypad and they are extra heavy duty. I would put it on my front door

  • by Carissa D. August 7, 2008 at 3:52 am

I like that the keypad illuminates for nighttime visibility. I would install it on the front door.

    Thanks!

  • by Eryn August 7, 2008 at 4:43 am

I love the feature: “The locks feature a vandal resistant keyway turn design which rotates freely until a valid user code is entered” It took me a second to figure it out, but now I get it (lightbulb went off lol). What a great deterrent.

The way our schedules work out, I am often home at night, alone. (Yeah, broadcasting that online might not be a good idea, but….lol) About 4 months into my husband’s new shift, I heard a sound at the front door. It was locked, and double locked. BUT we had only been living here a short time, and didn’t realize that the door knob (we HAD rekeyed it) was wonky. Someone got the door open (I suspect a previous occupant who knew of this flaw), and the only thing that kept them out of the house was my (frantic) screaming, and our dog’s VERY angry barking. He sounded huge that night. It still makes me tear up thinking about it. You should not feel so scared in your own home. I had to call my dad to come sit with me the rest of the night.

Anyway, this would go on our front door. I am excited also by the feature that the keypad is large, for my daughter or son to use, and for me too, when I have an arm full of groceries! :) Thank you so much for this giveaway :)

  • by Elizabeth M. August 7, 2008 at 11:00 am

I like that the keypad is illuminated and that it comes with actual keys for back-up reasons. I would put this on the door from my garage to the house.

  • by Virgie August 7, 2008 at 1:11 pm

I like the illuminated keypad, warning signal and the convenience. I would have it installed at my back door.

  • by Erma Hurtt August 7, 2008 at 1:12 pm

I like that it’s so easy to lock, so you don’t need your keys if you’ve put them in the car already. We definitely need this for our front door. Thanks

  • by Paula Harmon August 7, 2008 at 2:05 pm

I like how it is simple enough for the kids to use and I need it for my back door. It has a lock that I don’t have the key for. With school coming up, my daughter could come in the house without a key while I am gone to the other school getting my other kids.

  • by lisa sherman August 7, 2008 at 2:47 pm

I love the fact that it is keyless. We would use this on our front door. Right now we cannot use our front door because we always loose our keys. This would make it so we could always use our front door instead of sending our kids to the back door to unlock it and let us in the front.

    What a great prize!!!

  • by Tiffanie W. August 7, 2008 at 3:56 pm

I love the control over not needing a key or being worried about strangers having copies to get in. Our house is a rental, and our tenants refuse to change out the locks. It wasn’t until we lived here for two months that we found out the people across the street and a previous renter (who is in JAIL right now) have a spare to our house now. I wonder how angry it would make our tenants if we changed out the locks to this.

  • by Erin Walsh August 7, 2008 at 4:27 pm

My favorite feature is the night time illuminating feature. I wouldn’t have to worry about not being able to see the lock to work it.

I would change out my old front door lock.

  • by Bambi Burns August 7, 2008 at 4:37 pm

This is an awesome idea. I have noticed in the past few years going to condos at the beach, many have turned to this type of lock.

I especially love the idea that unique codes can be given to individuals. My daughter plays travel softball and we frequently have family or friends come and check on our furbabies when we leave for a long day. This would be perfect. As well, I cannot count the times I have forgotten something in the house and then either myself or my family has to take the keys & go back to the house. With the 100 degree weather we have it is not very plesant for the rest of us. Haha.

I would put this on our front door as it is the one we access most.
What a wonerful prize this would be! :)

  • by Barbara Fox August 7, 2008 at 4:43 pm

The fact that it lights up is great! I’m always dropping my keys while hunting the house key…then I can’t see the hole at night!

  • by Sue Farrell August 7, 2008 at 5:11 pm

I like the backup battery feature in case of power outages–we have lot of them. I never know where my keys are any rely on the garage door opener to get me in the house–never can get in when there is a power outage—so this would be perfect on our garage service door to get me in.

  • by Dan August 7, 2008 at 6:37 pm

I like that it signals a warning after four incorrect attempts. That would be good to hear. I’d put it on my front door, front and center. Thanks.

  • by Sandi Smith August 7, 2008 at 7:18 pm

I have a detached garage which I store lots of food products. I would love to make it more secure and I am so tired of losing keys. The two features I really liked were the large print numbers on the keypad are easy to read and the keypad illuminates for nighttime visibility.

  • by Erica L August 7, 2008 at 7:50 pm

I like that the keypad is lighted and has a lifetime warranty. I would love to replace the front door lock with this one, and would possibly buy another for the door between the garage and den.

  • by Kirsten August 7, 2008 at 8:35 pm

The keypad illuminates for nighttime visibility and it would go on my front door!

  • by moonmaiden August 7, 2008 at 9:15 pm

I have poor night vision and like that “The keypad illuminates for nighttime visibility”. We’d install the lock on our front door. *Thanks* for the giveaway!

  • by Christine August 7, 2008 at 9:33 pm

Wow, an easy-to-use keypad would be a wonderful thing for my front door! It would sure take care of the hassle I went through recently when I locked myself out. You know the feeling: you realize you left your keys on the counter the second after you close the door.

  • by CHERYL A FRANCISCO August 7, 2008 at 10:44 pm

The feature I like is the lighted keypad as half the time I forget to turn on the porchlight, or I think my kids are gone for the night (they are grown), but they show up and gotta knock so I let them in.

I would definitely put this on my front door. I feel it would be much safer than the lock I have now especially with that “tapping” video that is going around.

  • by Kevin Elliott August 8, 2008 at 12:15 am

I love the fact that you don’t have to use a key. I am so sick of locking myself out of the house! I only have a front door, so I would use it on that!

  • by Megan B. August 8, 2008 at 1:58 am

I love that it illuminates in the nighttime, that is the major downfall of our security system right now, that makes it so easy. We would use this on the front door.

  • by fidget August 8, 2008 at 2:50 am

I love the unique code option

I would place this on my door that leads from the front porch to the laundry room so that my daughter could easily gain access to the house if I get stuck in traffic and the bus beats me home. I’m worried she would misplace a key and this lock would completely alleviate that worry

  • by EdV August 8, 2008 at 2:56 am

This line from their site says it all
    • No keys to hide, lose, carry or forget.

With everybody racing around in the morning we have several times found our selves locked out and having to make a sheepish call asking each other to let us in. This would be a dream and would be definitely installed on the front door.

  • by Brenda B August 8, 2008 at 3:52 am

I like that there are no keys needed.
I would put it on my front door.

  • by loki August 8, 2008 at 4:31 am

I like the Illuminated Keypad! I’d install it on the patio door.

  • by Rebecca C August 8, 2008 at 5:42 am

I like that the keypad lights up, so much easier than trying to stick the key in when its dark and you are juggling a ton of groceries, baby, etc.

I would like to say I would put it on my bedroom door, but odds are it would go on the garage door.

  • by Jay French August 8, 2008 at 6:36 am

I like that the keypad lights up. This would be good at night.

I would use this lock on my front door.

  • by Julianne August 8, 2008 at 7:13 am

Oh how I would absolutely LOVE to win a schlage! My favorite part of this product is that it is the most secure keypad deadbolt for residential use! Talk about feeling safe!

I would like to put this on our front door. We could use a quality dead bolt on there.

    Thank you for the opportunity!!!

  • by A Casson August 8, 2008 at 10:59 am

Love that theres a keyless pad, so convienient and I think for the front door since the one we have there now has been broke for like 8 years

  • by Ruthann Rhodes August 8, 2008 at 12:02 pm

Love the simple installation, less than 30 minutes and we’re secure and no more worrying the twins will forget their keys. Would go on the front door of course. Thanks

  • by Teresa E August 8, 2008 at 12:35 pm

I would use it on my front door . Me and the kids are always locking our selfs out of the house. What a great lock for our family. So the lighted keypad would be what I like the most.

  • by judy chapman August 8, 2008 at 12:56 pm

Love the keypad concept and I would definitely put it on my front door, great giveaway.

  • by Lucy N August 8, 2008 at 2:17 pm

Awesome prize! I hope to win!

  • by Erin H. August 8, 2008 at 2:48 pm

I like the whole warning signal after four incorrect attempts thing, but what REALLY lights my fire is the illuminated keypad. We’re always forgetting to turn the outside lights on when we go out in the evening, and it’s so frustrating trying to unlock the door in complete blackness. I’d install it on our front door. Thanks for the contest!

  • by missy h August 8, 2008 at 3:49 pm

my daughter never locks her house because she does not want to be locked out. This would be a great gift for her.

  • by Donna Hunt August 8, 2008 at 5:46 pm

I like that the large print numbers on the keypad are easy to read. I’m pushing 40 and can’t always see smaller numbers as well as I used to! I’ll install this on my front door. Thank you for the contest!

  • by Ashley August 8, 2008 at 6:04 pm

I would love this for my front door. I just bought a house and we are currently looking into getting a new front door and handle. The current one unlocks itself just by turning the handle so there is no sure way to lock the doors for safety.

  • by kathy pease August 8, 2008 at 6:50 pm

i love that the The keypad illuminates for nighttime visibility my yard is very dark because we are down a long driveway away from the street and any street light..this would be awesome in my living room which is our main entrance :)

  • by garrettsambo@aol.com August 8, 2008 at 7:02 pm

It has a vandal resistant keyway turn design which rotates freely until a valid user code is entered. I would install it on the front door.

  • by Suanne Giddings August 8, 2008 at 8:01 pm

I love the no-key feature! My 92 year young mother locks me out by accident on a fairly regular basis. The bad part is that she is hearing impaired (only has 5% hearing left in one ear – other ear is totally deaf), so no matter how long and hard I pound on the door and ring the bell, she cannot hear. I just have to wait until she misses me and comes looking (summers are certainly hot and winters can be mighty cold!). I have started taking a key out with me, but then I have to keep up with it while watering plants, emptying trash, etc. I would TRULY be elated with one of these locks! Thank you for the opportunity to win!

  • by Noreen August 8, 2008 at 8:04 pm

keypad is the best part, and I would put it on the front door

  • by Erica G August 8, 2008 at 9:15 pm

I would put it on my front door. I like the features that make it hard for would be burglars to get in. Living in Florida, I also like that the buttons are coded to prevent wear and tear from everyday use and environmental element. I have a confession also. I let my dog sleep in my room with me when my husband is out of town.

  • by joanna smith August 8, 2008 at 9:44 pm

The features I like the most about this Schlage Electronic Keypad Deadbolt Lock is that you do not need to use a key to lock and unlock! This is such an important feature to our family because we are always find our kids get locked out because they cannot find their keys. It has created a lot of problems for my husband and I recently since sometimes we are at work and the kids are locked out. This Schlage Electronic Keypad Deadbolt Lock would be a lifesaver to us! I also like the fact that it can be installed with just a screwdriver! Easy installation is a must in our house since I am not married to “Mr. Fix It”! We would install this Schlage Electronic Keypad Deadbolt Lock on our front door which is the main entrance to our home and used the most by all 5 of us!

  • by Ed Nemmers August 8, 2008 at 11:00 pm

    The key is unnecessary.

  • by Rozie H. August 8, 2008 at 11:01 pm

The lighted keypad is my favorite feature, and I would use it on our front door. Thanks for a great giveaway.

  • by Betty C August 8, 2008 at 11:17 pm

I like that it is so easy to change or deactivate a code. It doesn’t give anyone the opportunity to make a copy of the key and use it without your knowledge. I also like the lighted dial. I don’t come home from work until late and it’s nice to be able to see the keypad in the dark.
I would use this on my exterior door, inside I have all the privacy I need.

  • by Judy Y August 8, 2008 at 11:19 pm

Schlage’s high quality, durable locks are the most secure keypad deadbolts for residential use. I am also paranoid and want to have the best protection for my family. I also love the new key required aspect. We would likely put this on our back door if we were to win.

  • by Jean August 9, 2008 at 12:58 am

Great for someone like me who is always misplacing my keys! Thanks!!

  • by Connie August 9, 2008 at 1:33 am

I like the fact that the keypad lights up as our motion detecting front porch light seems to have a mind of it’s own … coming on for a mosquito a hundred feet away, but not recognizing us jumping up and down right in front of it while frantically waving our arms. So the front door would definitely be the place for this lock. Thank you for the giveaway.

  • by Ida Mousaw August 9, 2008 at 2:16 am

There are many great reasons for having one of these. They look alot easier to install than a regular deadbolt. When my husband install ours there was a hole so big you could put your hand through it(ha ha).Thank you for giving away an Awesome prize from an Awesome site!

  • by Heather C August 9, 2008 at 2:42 am

I like that the buttons are coded to prevent wear and tear from everyday use and environmental elements. I’ve already lost some key identifiers on the car radio and my laptop. :-)
I’d install this on the front door, more than likely…or the back door. I can’t decide.

  • by Jodi Jodi August 9, 2008 at 3:05 am

Mine would go on the front door. It would be a blessing for the neighbors who have our three children stop and visit them weekly for a key to get into the house. And the night light would make it easy for the oldest to sneak back in at night. And he thought I didnt notice!!

  • by Kristen Hendricks August 9, 2008 at 3:06 am

I like a lot of features of Schlage Electronic Keypad Deadbolt locks. I like that they can be re-keyed to match existing houskey, that they are designed to fit most standard residential doors, that installation is relatively easy, and that it is a keyless entry lock. I would definitely install the Schlage Electronic Keypad Deadbolt lock on my backdoor as I need to replace that doorknob anyway and hate using a key to open the backdoor. It would be so much simpler opening the door if I could install the Schlage Electronic Keypad Deadbolt lock and maybe I would even lock the door more if I was lucky enough to win the Electronic Keypad Deadbolt lock. This is a great giveaway and I really hope I win. Thanks.

  • by tanya August 9, 2008 at 3:11 am

I love that it has keyless entry since I’m prone to locking myself out. Sad but true. And locksmiths are not cheap! I would put this baby on my front door if I had it!

  • by Carolyn August 9, 2008 at 3:39 am

I need this for my husbands wallet!

  • by Michelle H. August 9, 2008 at 4:04 am

I like how the keypad lights up. I would put this on my front door.

  • by Marie Noguerole August 9, 2008 at 4:47 am

I like the style of the keypad and the fact that it lights up is an added bonus. But more importantly, the ability to have multiple codes works for everyone as it can be something personal to them that they won’t foget.

I would have to put these baby at my front door where it would have to most use and benefit for the safety of my family.

  • by Donna Kozar August 9, 2008 at 4:57 am

I like the keypad so I would put it by the backdoor.
