With Mother's Day approximately one month away, I'm thinking about how to celebrate the women in my life who I admire for their example to me as a mom. Personally, I prefer an experience over a tangible item when it comes to gift-giving and I know many women who share the sentiment. As a mom, I have very little time to myself. To give another mother a few hours ... Read More »

Last week, I escaped from the busyness and chaos of motherhood, work, and life for an hour at The Surf & Sand Resort in Laguna Beach. The much overdue massage and scrub left me feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.
This week, select California spas will offer $50 face and body treatments through Spa Week. Day spas, medical spas, resort spas, fitness centers and ... Read More »

Adventure, special effects, and a hearty meal await you at Pirate's Dinner Adventure, hailed as the world's most interactive dinner show. From the moment I told my son we'd be attending the show, he could not stop talking about it. The show, which celebrates it's 5th anniversary this year, recently debuted their second adventure, The Curse of Poseidon's Treasure ... Read More »

Finding that balance between kid-friendly and gourmet is challenging. Because my husband and I tend to be foodies, we would opt to eat at home before sacrificing the taste and diversity we've come to expect at a nice restaurant. Most restaurants that offer the type of food my husband and I enjoy, are not the least bit kid-friendly. That's not to say that we have... Read More »

One of the things I love about living in Southern California is the abundance of unique, local-centric activities. This weekend, SoCal based retailer Active Ride Shop has partnered with TOMS Shoes to showcase the creativity of several local child artists, including pieces from students at Anneliese Schools in Orange County. The show will also feature collaboratio... Read More »

During the winter, I find it particularly challenging to find creative, interesting things to do with my children. My son, in particular, won't be cooped up inside for long, so an activity that involves getting the wiggles out is always a plus.
There are an abundance of indoor play spaces in Southern California. What makes Endless Food and Fun unique is that it... Read More »

When I first started writing, 3 1/2 years ago, I had no idea what direction the site would take. It's only in as I started writing that I figured out what I enjoy...what comes naturally...
This month, I joined a group of savvy LA moms over at CBS Los Angeles! Having lived in Southern California my entire life, I know a thing or two about the best places to vent... Read More »

It's almost March and our resolve to cook *most* of our meals (as opposed to going out) has been mostly successful. However, I am personally beginning to lose motivation, since I'm rotating through the same meals each week. My husband has always been the more creative cook, conjuring up everything from Thai Chicken and Rice to a three course French Fondue meal.

It's going to be a wet week here in Southern California, but the good news is, there are plenty of indoor activities to keep the kids active and entertained. Children, particularly preschoolers, are very curious little people. Why is a particularly common word in our household and I find myself fascinated that my son is so in touch with the world around him. One o... Read More »

My foodie husband and I love to eat out. Unfortunately, our gourmet preferences and small children limit how often we can dine out. When we do have the opportunity to visit a restaurant, I strive to be adventurous.
