I cannot believe it's Christmas Eve! Â We are trying to get settled here at home and my parents will be down with our little boy to meet our daughter for the first time. Â We had always planned on spending Christmas at our house, but we didn't think our little girl would be joining us (praise!). Â We have a tentative menu set for at least one of the two days and it's ... Read More »

Last week (before I went into labor!) I spent the morning with some fellow OC bloggers at our local Albertson's gleaning wisdom on everything from centerpieces and DIY gift ideas to appetizers and hot chocolate. Â Nutritionist Heidi Diller showed us how quick and easy entertaining can be. Â And at this point in my life, those are two words I NEED to hear.

I know it *appears* that I've been around...but I really haven't. Â My incredible husband has been doing much in the way of answering emails, closing giveaways, and updating everyone on how we're doing so that our baby girl and I could have some much needed bonding time before we go home. Â My husband has been doing all of this and more in between the times when h... Read More »

We're fortunate to live in a climate that allows for much outdoor time. Â We rarely ever get rain and it's rarely ever cold enough to warrant a stay indoors.
A couple of weeks ago, we made a special visit to the Orange County Zoo and Irvine Park Railroad with some of the other OC Family Magazine Bloggers and their families. Â I've taken my son to that very zoo a ... Read More »

I have to admit that I absolutely love dressing my babies up. Â And because I'm all about finding the best deals, I thought I'd share one with you that I found!
In a short time, I'll be reviewing an adorable onesie from The Precious Club. Â This new line of baby and kid's clothing is trendy, fun, and somewhat cheeky. Â The company's goal is to offer soft, comfortab... Read More »

I can hardly believe that we're 3 days away from Christmas. My husband finally had an opportunity to put our Christmas tree up for our little boy. Â I was planning on wrapping his gifts this week, but I'm still in the hospital. Â
Fortunately, he's had a few new toys at home to play with while mommy recovers, including the Yo Gabba Gabba Boombox from MegaBloks. Â... Read More »

This giveaway is now closed. Thanks for stopping by. The winner is Susan T. Congrats!
My aspirations of baking for Christmas won't be fulfilled this year. Â But I have a very good excuse. Â Instead, my family and husband will be busy cooking and baking this holiday season. Â There are many critical aspects that go into an excellent cake. Â While the recipe and... Read More »

After a PAINFUL early morning wakeup call (also known as labor), we made our way to the hospital to meet our little baby girl! At 3am I woke my husband up and gripped his arm like there was no tomorrow... he rolled back over and said "Let me know when the next one comes." Oh you WILL know! I'd actually been awake since 2am. Hubby went across the street and woke up our... Read More »

Pregnancy always puts me in a baking mood. Â My husband has been joking that the last 9 months I've been trying to "fatten him up." Â Baking for me is therapeutic. Â The problem is once I've tried what I've baked, I usually don't continue eating it for subsequent days which means there is plenty for my husband to snack on.
When I bake, I prefer to do it from scratc... Read More »

I have to admit that I'm a bit bummed about the timing of this event, but we may actually end up going since it looks like this baby is going to wait a couple of more weeks. Â And while the timing of this event isn't particularly great for this 37 week pregnant mama, it is the perfect season to watch a performance of Disney On Ice Presents Worlds of Fantasy. Â

Boutiques are one of my favorite kinds of stores to shop in. Â Unfortunately, I haven't had a lot of opportunities to frequent the ones in my area, as I get closer and closer to my due date. Â What's great about boutiques is that they offer unique items, you often can't find in other stores. Â But that also means that sometimes you'll see something you like, and it wo... Read More »

One of my favorite local coffee venues is Peet's Coffee. I am an avid coffee drinker and I've found that no two coffee venues are the same. Some offer stronger, richer blends while others specialize in what I like to call "fru fru" drinks. Still others offer premium and custom blends and roasts. I am particularly fond of Peet's holiday drink offerings, specifi... There is not enough darkness in the world to extinguish the light of one small candle.

I think children's books are probably one of the best, most affordable gifts you could give a child. Â My son loves to read with me because it's something we've done together since he was a baby. Â Naptime and bedtime routines are incomplete without our story tim... Read More »

My husband (the techie) travels a ton for work. Â His job involves a ton of computer time so he's always toting his laptop to and from work and business trips. Â We've already had to get his laptop fixed because of some "damage" our little boy did to it, so a protective case is a must. Â
If you're looking for computer accessories, Rocketfish has a large selection,... Read More »

My husband and I traveled extensively before we had kids, including living abroad. Its a part of our lives that we will always remember and hope to re-initiate once they're old enough to appreciate the experience. In the meantime, we enjoy more local trips and experiences which allow for Kid-friendly adventures. I've recently discovered a great website called Trekaroo... Read More »

A little over a week ago, my doorbell rang at 6 am. Â Outside was a car and driver (and my blogging buddy Julie) waiting to take us on a red carpet ride to Marshalls. Â I felt a little like Cinderella being whisked away to a ball....except for the rain...and the time of day! Â So what was this trip all about? Â I was to learn all about off-price shopping from style ex... Read More »

Are you on Facebook?  If so, 1-800-Flowers.com is doing something pretty amazing.  They are working with Toys for Tots to help donate $5,000 for kids in need.  I'm not a huge Facebook user, but I have used an application here or there.  This is for a great cause.  They have a fun little application called Secret Santa which allows you to send an anonymous messa...
