Love can sometimes achieve the impossible - Nicholas Sparks, Safe Haven
As a little girl, you'd often find me immersed in the latest tween novel sensation (I might have read the ENTIRE Sweet Valley High book series at least twice over the course of my childhood). My mother used to tease me about my need to read a book anywhere and everywhere...at the grocery store,... Read More »

There is a scene in Fox's soon-to-be released film Parental Guidance, where on-screen husband and wife Billy Crystal and Bette Midler break out into a seemingly impromptu song and dance number. The chemistry between the two insanely talented actors is so spot on, it's hard to believe they had not worked together prior to this multi-generational film with a timely me... Read More »

When you open your heart, it doesn't make you weaker, it makes you stronger and more whole - Jane Lynch
Like most Disney films, Wreck-It Ralph is rich in visual detail. When I spoke to John C. Reilly, who voices Ralph in the film, he said that audiences would have to watch the film 3 or 4 times to really take in everything. What I also find intriguing about the film ... Read More »

On the surface, she's feisty and precocious. Known as "the glitch" in Disney's latest animated film Wreck-It Ralph, Vanellope von Schweetz has endured years of rejection, hardening her. But inside, "she's protecting this scared little girl...this rejected kid who just wants to play with everyone else" (Sarah Silverman).
I recently had an opportunity to sit down... Read More »

I sort of became Ralph and Ralph became me - John C. Reilly
For actor John C. Reilly, voicing the character of Ralph in Disney's latest animated film was very personal. When you hear him speak, you might think he had an inherent talent for voicing the bad-guy turned hero. Rather, it was a process of "becoming perfect for the character or the character becoming pe... It is sure must be nice being the good guy - Ralph, Disney's Wreck-It Ralph
When I saw the trailer for Disney's latest 3D animated film, I was initially drawn to the world of arcade video games that serves as a backdrop for the story about a gaming "bad guy" turned hero. Wreck-It Ralph is surprisingly poignant, and as we sat with Director Rich Moore and Producer Cl... Read More »

We make the kind of movies we like to watch. I love to laugh. I love to be amazed by how beautiful it is. But I also love to be moved to tears. There's lots of heart in our films - John Lasseter
After months of excitement and anticipation leading up to Disney/Pixar's latest animated release, I finally sat down this evening to watch Brave in it's entirety. The fi... Read More »

The ancients spoke of it. It is the heart of this fierce land. it is carried in the wind. Born of our legends and when we are put to the test, it is the one thing that we must always be - King Fergus, Disney/Pixar Brave
As I walked into the expansive atrium in the main building, I couldn't help but notice how open and spacious it felt. Many a brilliant mind have ... Read More »

Like many in my age group, I grew up watching The Muppets. Last week when I saw the film for the first time, it brought back childhood memories of watching the show with my father. Most who grew up with The Muppets would admit that what's endearing and enduring about them is their optimistic outlook on the world. We're just 10 days until the Thanksgiving opening... Read More »

Whenever I watch an animated film, I'm awestruck by the visual aesthetics, knowing, in part, how much time, effort, and creativity are involved. After watching Cars 2 for the third time over the weekend, I still came away from the film amazed at it's bea... Read More »

Since I am a total gamer, I was super excited (in a geeky sort of way) about an opportunity to speak with Pokémon Expert Seth McMahill. The very fact that Nintendo has a Pokémon Expert fascinates me. The video game series was first introduced 14 years ago, and Nintendo recently released Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version Video Games for the DS.
