As soon as November 1st comes around, stores magically transform into their holiday alter-identities. It's sheer brilliance when a mall or shopping center offers holiday activities, because it gives parents the freedom to bring children shopping with them if they choose.
A week ago, I spent some time at South Coast Plaza taking part in their holiday activities. ... Read More »

Some of my most cherished holiday memories are those spent at Disneyland. My parents have photos of me as a two year old little girl, donning Mickey Ears and a big smile. I'm recreating those memories with my children, one of which is an annual visit to the resort during the holidays. From the Town Square Christmas Tree that towers above Main Street to the snowfal... Technology has advanced the world of video gaming such that children can learn how to count, teens can rock out on a real guitar, and adults can improve physical fitness. My son hasn't been exposed to much in the way of gaming. The games he has played were designed to be educational.
Last week, Disney Interactive Studios, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment,... Read More »

Last night Andrea, Angie, April, Janice, Tracy and I graced the red carpet for the World Premiere of Nutcracker 3D. The premiere was held at The Grove, complete with candy cane tickets, a snow-filled red carpet, and a Christmas tree. The chilly night in LA was the perfect setting for this family-friendly holiday film, out on November 24th.

I've had the opportunity to see live performances of the Nutcracker on several occasions in my 32 years of life. But I've yet to see a film on the big screen, or in 3D for that matter! On November 24th, The Nutcracker in 3D will premiere in theaters across the country.

Almost fifteen years ago, Magnolia Bakery opened it's doors to New York City. When I was in New York City over the summer, I had to pay a visit to one of their four New York locations, unaware of the fact that an Los Angeles store was set to open. Even today as I walk into the store's Los Angeles location, I'm captivated by it's cozy, vintage appeal and the delic... Read More »

If you're a regular reader, then you know that my husband and I primarily purchase organic, all natural foods and products. Because of the types of food we purchase, we often frequent our local farmer's market and natural food stores. Christmas is less than 10 days away and I've started thinking about what types of foods we're going to be serving, since we won't b... Read More »
