I probably shouldn't admit that while I'm writing this post, I'm finishing the last few bites of an Artie Lange cupcake from Crumbs Bake Shop...the remnants of my birthday celebration. I'll have to work out at least double time this week to counter the butter, chocolate, and cream cheese that make this cupcake so decadent. And speaking of working out, it's the new y... Read More »

I wish I could say that on January 1st, I stopped dipping into our chocolate stash, frequenting my favorite coffee shop for a latte, or eating grilled cheese. We haven't even completed the first week of January and I've done all of those things. However, that doesn't mean my goals to lose 23 pounds won't be realized this year.
The start of the new year brings hope ... Read More »

This giveaway is now closed. Congrats Ericka!
I'm less than ten pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight (as in before my 4 year old son was born) and while I'm so proud to have gotten this far, I've definitely hit a plateau. And, of course, my body does not resemble it's former 20-something self. I'm not always as consistent with my workout schedule and while I wor... Read More »

It's May...almost halfway through the year...perhaps it's time for me to think about where I'm at with my weight loss and fitness goals. A few months ago, I was just 10 pound... Read More »

Our diet, overall, is really quite simple. On any given day, we as a family consume chicken breast, fish, whole grains, fruit, and veggies. While it sounds simple and perhaps boring, we prepare these foods in a variety of ways so that our children are exposed to diverse, ethnic cuisines. We avoid trans fats, preservatives, high fructose corn syrup, and ingredien... Read More »

Shapewear became an inevitable part of my wardrobe with the birth of my now 3 year old son. No matter how much weight I lose or how much physical activity I engage in, there is still a reminder that my body has housed two children.
Last fall, I was introduced to The Girls, a fitness brand offering fashionable active wear for women. The company offers three coll... Read More »

Last week I woke up very early...on a Saturday morning...to work out...{insert long pause}. Interestingly enough, it was exhilarating to work out as intensely as I did with fitness trainer Kathy Kaehler. I realized that while dancing on the Wii is fun and gets my heart pumping, I'm still nowhere near where I need to be. And the one thing I learned is that I can ... Read More »

While I believe there are many useful products and services to help achieve fitness and wellness goals, at the core are healthy eating and physical fitness. Since January is the time when we often focus on the goals we'd like accomplish in the new year, I thought it would be fitting to talk about crocs new line of shoes, called tone.
In the fall, crocs released t... Read More »

This giveaway is now closed. Thanks for stopping by. The winner is Teri. Congrats.
Every year, I vow to be more active. The American Heart Association recommends that adults participate in 3o minutes of physical activity a day and while this is a feasible recommendation, I struggle with consistency. I'm hoping that two hours with a celebrity trainer might get me re... Read More »

I danced my way through high school, college, and young adulthood. While I still retain my love for dancing, I gave up late nights out when I started dating my husband (who ironically does not share my love for dance). These days, I get my dance on at home!
A little over a year ago, Ubisoft, a leader in the gaming and interactive entertainment industry, release... Read More »

You may have guessed that I'm a bit of a health nut. Before I had kids, I'd run several times a week. These days, while I'm not as active as I should be, I still try to get in regular exercise by walking with the kids or dancing on the Wii. I also strive to eat a healthy diet by avoiding excess salt, trans fats, cholesterol, and other artificial ingredients. D... Read More »

Summer is here and I'm not quite ready for swimsuit season. I had a baby 6 months ago and I'm slowly (but much too slowly) losing the weight. I need a bit of inspiration...and some support. So I decided that being a member of Bee Well for Life wasn't enough. I need accountability...and motivation...

Now that I've been given the "ok" to exercise, I'm ready to dive right in and shed the pounds that brestfeeding has not taken care of. Finding the time to work out is a challenge, so if any of you have tips on doing this with two, please feel free to comment or send me an email. In the meantime, I'm wearing my Skechers Shape-ups in hopes of toning up some of the f... Read More »

It's been a little over two months since our beauty was born and it's time for this mama to shed the baby weight! I don't have much time of my own, so the bulk of my exercising must be done with the kids. Fortunately, I have double jogging stroller to get me in shape.
Apart from a good jogging str... Read More »

So now that summer is over, have you started to "let yourself go" just a bit? I am obviously not exercising at the moment (except for running around after my two year old!) but I always remember slacking a bit once the weather cooled down. Warm sweaters and jeans can hide a lot and as the holida... Read More »

Even though I'm only 3 months pregnant, I can already feel myself putting on weight. Now, of course, this is normal, however, in the back of my mind is that question of how I'm going to lose the baby weight once and for all the second time around. I've been walking when I feel well (which is still rare these days) and I'll be using the Bumbleride Indie strolle... Read More »

Having a baby has been (and is) one of the most joyful experiences in my life. It's definitely also the busiest I've ever been. Babies and toddlers take up a lot of time (and rightly so), and I find myself neglecting myself at times. As a woman and a mother, I find that one of the most important things I can do for my child is to keep myself healthy. If you... Read More »
