Last month, I was invited to a media preview event for Kung Fu Panda World. As a bonus, we had an opportunity to take a tour. It's nature-infused setting is serene and unlike any studio I've been to. Check out my Whrrl from the tour:

Last year, around this time, I was pregnant...and sick, sick, sick! I had aspired to take my husband to Disney's California Adventure Park to experience their Food & Wine Festival, but never actually made it. This year, I am definitely planning on leaving the kidlets with my parents for a couple's day out!
This is the fifth annual Food & Wine Festival... Read More »

Last year around this time, someone told me about Day Out With Thomas...which was sold out by the time I could check it out on the website. This year...I'm taking my son (who absolutely adores trains)!
This year, Thomas is celebrating his 65th Birthday and chugging into a ... Read More »

Remember when we took my son to see Alvin, Simon, and Theodore? Well...he has not stopped talking about them. Although I think the movie (Alvin & The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel) is a bit mature for him (my husband disagrees), he has seen it more than a few times. It's actually quite cute, upbeat, and fun (and the music will stick in your head for days!).

Writing, for me, is a passion...and outlet of sorts for a bit of creative expression and unleashing of the thoughts and feelings I can't verbally express. When I'm struggling with the frustration of how to deal with my toddler's strong will and independence...or how to comfort a friend who's world was turned upside down just a few weeks ago by life...or how to chang... We've been eating out a lot lately. What can I say? We're in survival mode. I always prefer a home-cooked meal, but I'm still getting a handle on this infant/toddler schedule, so I'm giving myself a tiny break from the kitchen. El Pollo Loco, a restaurant chain my husband and I have eaten at on numerous occasions, is now offering sirloin steak. Their new menu ... Read More »

I feel very fortunate that I married a man who is not consumed with sports. We don't have to be home on Sundays during football season or enslaved to the TV or radio during baseball season. On the contrary, I am more of a sports enthusiast than he is. My two favorite sports ... Read More »

I have to admit that I'm a bit bummed about the timing of this event, but we may actually end up going since it looks like this baby is going to wait a couple of more weeks. And while the timing of this event isn't particularly great for this 37 week pregnant mama, it is the perfect season to watch a performance of Disney On Ice Presents Worlds of Fantasy.

My son has an affectionado towards a certain mouse. Perhaps it was our weekly trips to Disneyland (now less often because of the pregnancy) that make Mickey Mouse the exception when it comes to gigantic costumed characters. Earlier this week my little boy and I were supposed to join 30 preschoolers in LA this week for the conclusion of Mickey's Virtual Train Tour.... Read More »

I receive a lot of press releases. If you're a blogger, then you know what I mean. Most of the time, I politely decline, saying it's not relevant to my readers. Because, to be honest, I spend time weeding through the information I receive, to bring you the best, most appropriate content. I want you, the reader, to know what to expect when you come to my blog.... Read More »

Last week we took my son trick or treating...at Disney's California Adventure! We took my son to Mickey's Trick Or Treat Party last year and what a difference a year makes. I don't ever remember him staying up past 11 pm, but he did. He was so excited about the characters and the festivities. For the first time, we were able to see Mickey's Trick-or-Treat-on ... I hope some of you were able to join in on last week's GNO (on Twitter). It was so much fun that I'm participating again this week. This week's topic is all about family togetherness and mealtime. Dinner is the only meal where all three of us can sit down together so it's important to me that we do this every night. I'm definitely looking forward to discussing... Read More »

Everything Disney does is magical. And this year, at the first conference for Disney fans, it's no different. D23 was awesome today and there are still two more days!
