As much as I enjoy planning and hosting gatherings for friends and family, it's time consuming, and I'm typically quite exhausted, even before the guests have had a chance to mingle and enjoy the food. Despite the fact that we try not to eat out, towards the end of the week neither my husband nor I want to cook. One of our favorite lunchtime venues is Souplantation. There are not many restaurants that offer all-you-can eat soup, salad, pastas, baked potatoes, breads, and desserts for under $10.
