I let my son watch ballet! When I was given the opportunity to review Prima Princessa presents Swan Lake recently I hesitated. I have a little BOY...but after speaking to one of the producers of the show I decided to give it a a go! After all...there are male ballet dancers. I have to admit that up until a week ago, I had never heard of The Banana Splits, a costumed rock band popular in the '60s. They are well known for combining kid-style comedy and contemporary music. Band members Fleegle the dog, Drooper the lion, Bingo the gorilla, and Snorky the elephant hang out in their Banana Pad dabbling in their music and telling jokes.

I love keeping my son close to me. From the moment the nurse placed him in my arms that summer night, I didn't want to let him go. One year and twelve pounds later we're still "wearing" my son! I first took up babywearing when my husband began to complain comment about the dishes that were stacked as high as my son's building blocks and the laundry that was ready t... Read More »

I have a gourmet baby! I guess that is what I get for being a "gourmet mom." At least that's what my husband thinks I am! Ever since I discovered Whole Foods, I've slowly transitioned and now do most of my grocery shopping there. I just started my little munchkin on solids and he LOVES his cereal. Well, I decided a few nights ago to make baby food, just like the... Read More »

I received a wide variety of skin care products for Josh. Most of the products on the market contain parabens, proplyene glycol, and other icky chemicals that we should not be putting on our bodies! On one of my weekly excursions to my favorite market, I came across Little Twig. I was drawn to their claim that their products are organic. The Lavender, Chamomile, &am... Read More »

When I was pregnant on bedrest I had plenty of time to research the numerous products on the market for babies. During my pregnancy I committed to changing many of my lifestyle habits. Some of the things I've done include buying organic (a majority of the time) and ridding our house of any foods or products that contain chemicals or ingredients that are not natural.... Read More »

The single most important way to prevent the spread of germs is handwashing. This is like a mantra that is repeated over and over in hospitals until you're washing your hands in your sleep! That is why I really liked the invention of antibacterial hand gels like Purell. New concerns over alcohol in these gels has prompted companies like Airborne to develop other wa... Read More »
