After watching the film Night at the Museum, I walked away thinking about all the places I'd like to visit "after hours." Wouldn't it be neat to visit Disneyland, a working theater, or the zoo after dark? I think San Diego Zoo Safari Park was one step ahead of the game when they developed their Roar and Snore Safari.
You may remember that I recently wrote brief... Read More »

We danced...
Marveled in wonder at the acrobats...
Were blown away by the magnificence and speed of Shiley the Cheetah...
And oohed and aahed over giraffes, rhinos, and buffalo...
I grew up in Southern California, but last week was my very first visit to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. On the contrary, I have been to the San Diego Zoo more times... Read More »

I can't remember the exact moment when my son would sit through a movie in a theater without squirming, crying or making a mad dash for the exit, but somewhere between 2 1/2 and 3, I felt comfortable venturing out. There is something exciting about a morning, afternoon, or early evening out at the movies. My son, in particular, enjoys the experience, particularly if... Read More »

During the winter, I find it particularly challenging to find creative, interesting things to do with my children. My son, in particular, won't be cooped up inside for long, so an activity that involves getting the wiggles out is always a plus.
There are an abundance of indoor play spaces in Southern California. What makes Endless Food and Fun unique is that it... Read More »

It's going to be a wet week here in Southern California, but the good news is, there are plenty of indoor activities to keep the kids active and entertained. Children, particularly preschoolers, are very curious little people. Why is a particularly common word in our household and I find myself fascinated that my son is so in touch with the world around him. One o... Read More »

Halloween in Southern California truly marks the end of summer and the countdown to Thanksgiving and Christmas. As a child, I remember going to our local mall to trick-or-treat because it was safe. Theme parks, recognizing parent's desire for a fun, safe, memorable way to spend the holiday with their kids, have introduced not-so-spooky Halloween-themed celebration... Read More »

Earlier this summer, I told you about Raging Waters' summer promotions. We took a trip to the park during the last few weeks it was open. I hadn't been to the park since I was a teenager and much has changed. The park has added a slew of new rides, including Thunder Rapids, which my son had a blast on. As the largest water park in Southern California, I was quit... Read More »

One of the things I enjoy about living in California is that it's Labor Day weekend and hot enough to swim (it's been in the 80's)! Right before we boarded a plane to New York City, we headed to Wild Rivers in Irvine for a splash day.
The Orange County water park features over 40 water rides and attractions including several play areas specifically geared towards... Read More »

I have a hard time getting my mind around the concept of animals weighing 130,000 pounds and towering 36 feet tall. After much anticipation, Walking With Dinosaurs opened at the Honda Center in Anaheim last night. Based on the award-winning BBC TV series, Walking With Dinosaurs had fans roaring with excitement.
Walking With Dinosaurs is a spectacular journey back... Read More »

We've been back nearly a week and I have so much to write about our trip to New York. I am such a city girl and coming home was bittersweet. I absolutely loved being able to walk to Times Square from the apartment we rented. But lugging the double stroller up and down the stairs to the Subway...not so much.
One of our "must see" activities was visiting the Am... Read More »
