Last week, MSNBC reported that researchers from the University of Arizona identified E.coli amongst a host of other bacteria on shopping carts. I am honestly not surprised. Despite the number of times I wash and antibac my children's hands, they're still carrying around a number of microorganisms they've picked up from toys, doorknobs, and other surfaces they come... These days, it's much easier to get out of the house with two children. My 3 year old son is fully potty trained which means I don't have to tote nearly as many diapers, wipes, and extra changes of clothing. While I still need to pack a full diaper bag for days out with the two of them, I can get away with something smaller for short trips to the store or the park... Read More »

My daughter is right in the midst of exploring and expanding her palate. I adore this time when I get to introduce my daughter to the wonderful world of food (because who doesn't like to eat?!?!). If you've read some of my previous posts, you may remember that I failed miserably at making my son's baby food. I've actually had a lot more success making my daughte... Read More »

Making my children's baby food was something I had aspired to do for months before they both started eating. How long is still the question, since some nights our three year old gets thrown in the mix. My daughter is an excellent nighttime sleeper, but isn't the best at taking naps in the crib or pack and play. She's grown ... Read More »

A couple of weeks ago, I attended a meet-up with some local bloggers who were quite surprised that I was there without my daughter in tow. You see, she's usually attached to me. I love, love, love keeping my babies close. My daughter will only be a baby for a short time...she's already mobile...crawling and pulling up. Soon she'll be walking and yearning for i... Read More »

I would love to be able to hold my daughter all day long. But dishes laundry things would never get done. So while I'm running after my son or trying to get in a 3 minute shower, I put my daughter in a swing or a bouncer. My son never enjoyed his bouncer, but my daughter actually prefers it over the swing.
New and expectant parents have an abundance of baby g... Read More »

True mom confession: My children don't spend nearly enough time on the floor as babies. I worry about germs, safety, and comfort. My son had an activity gym we picked up at a Consignment Sale that didn't hold up long enough for my daughter to use. It wasn't until she started rolling over that I realized I probably needed to get a Playmat that would be approp... Read More »
