How Would You Describe Dinnertime In Your Household? Published on Monday, July 18, 2011 by

Dinner is the only meal of the day where our family actually sits down together.  Breakfast is often rushed and lunch is not typically eaten together. As part of my resolve to eat healthy, wholesome foods, I’ve been aspiring to cook dinner on most nights of the week.  The level of chaos surrounding dinnertime is directly related to what’s happened throughout the day.  When the hubby is traveling or my son is not in school, I’m scrambling to feed my hungry kiddos. Between keeping the kids out of the fridge, cleaning up as I go along (I’m a “neat” cook), and monitoring their play time, dinnertime and the prep beforehand can get a bit eventful.

Through the end of the year, I’ve partnered with Ragu to discuss and share tips on overcoming common dinnertime challenges.  Do you have a picky eater?  A teen who would rather eat in front of the television? Mom’s the Word on Dinner is an online video series housed on Ragu’s Facebook page and created in partnership with Momversation.

This week they’re talking “Dinner in One Word.”  So what’s the one word that describes dinnertime in your household?  For us it would probably be “eventful.”

You can join the conversation on Facebook at Mom’s The Word On Dinner.
