My favorite types of films are those that depict a compelling story filled with humor and heart. On July 1st, I’m grabbing a girlfriend to see Monte Carlo, which stars Selena Gomez from the Wizards of Waverly Place as an ordinary girl who becomes an accidental princess during a family summer trip to Paris. Grace (Gomez), along with her two best friends, lives like royalty as she journeys to find out who she really is. While I’ve yet to see the film, it appears to broach the subject of self-discovery and staying true to onself.

Stay tuned for my full review after it’s release (which times out perfectly for the hoilday weekend).

    The mistaken identity plot can be fun, especially if done in a fairly light-hearted way–that is what interests me.
