Earth Day Essentials For Moms and Tots *Giveaway* Published on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 by

Each year around this time, I evaluate how our family is doing in the area of sustainability.  While we definitely think we’re doing our part to reduce, reuse, recycle, and live a healthy lifestyle, there is always more that we can do.  Since a large part of our carbon footprint comes from the stuff in our life, I’m always looking for eco versions of products we use.

As you may know, I’m working with Healthy Child Healthy World as an Easy Organic Living blogger to share my experiences and tips for living greener.  In celebration of Earth Day, LUNA, the makers of the Whole Nutrition Bar for Women and Healthy Child Healthy World have created a limited edition eco-friendly “Life is a Picnic” kit.  The kit is sold exclusively through Diapers.com and includes White Chocolate Macadamia LUNA bars, CleanWell Hand Sanitizer Wipes Original Scent, Green Toys BPA-Free Snack Bowls & Spoons, Plum Organics food, and Fabkins organic cloth napkins. I know I’m always looking for safer, eco-alternatives to conventional products and this is a great way to try some of them out.

The “Life is a Picnic” kit retails for $26.99 and profits from the sale of the kit are going to be donated to Healthy Child Healthy World.

    I’d also like to try the California Baby SPF 30 Sunscreen Lotion/Super Sensitive. I’ve tried their sunblock stick that is great, but never the lotion. I’ll have to remember I can get it here.
