On Monday January 17th, PBS Kids will air a brand new episode of Dinosaur Train.  The popular show “follows Buddy and his adoptive family of Pteranodons on whimsical adventures through prehistoric jungles, swamps, volcanoes and oceans.”  My son enjoys the show because he’s somewhat fascinated by dinosaurs. I like the show because it teaches him about science, natural history, and dinosaurs.  The train itself is colorful and customized to accommodate all kinds of dinosaurs while visiting the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous worlds. The conductor, who just happens to be a Troodon, offers interesting facts along the way.

The new episode, titled “The Good Mom;” “Diamond Anniversary,” follows Millie Maiasaura who is a bit too over-protective of her children. Can anyone relate? Fellow mom Mrs. Pteranodon compares mothering methods during a play date to the Big Pond.  In the same episode, Mr. and Mrs. Pteranodon decide to surprise each other with gifts on their anniversary.  Here is a sneak peak at the episode:

If your children can’t enough of the Dinosaur Train (I know my son can’t), Kohl’s is now selling Dinosaur Train Striped Footed Pajamas, available in 2T-5T for $26.00.  These footed  pjs feature dionsaur appliques and a striped pattern.
