Did you know that something you likely have in your cabinet can kill most mold, bacteria, and germs? I’ve heard that vinegar (white distilled) is an effective cleaning agent. But to be honest, I haven’t used it as much as I should. If you’re wondering what you can use vinegar for, check out 1001 Uses For White Distilled Vinegar!
A couple of weeks ago, I started using Windex’s Multi-Surface Vinegar cleaner. The cleaner is made with vinegar and cleans everything from glass and windows to countertops and appliances. Since I pretty much stopped using conventional cleaners, I’ve noticed that I’m more sensitive to their smells when I encounter them outside my home. Windex Multi-Surface Vinegar is comprised of an ammonia-free formula which means it doesn’t have the harsh scent of conventional, multi-purpose cleaners.
I’ve mostly been using the cleaner in the kitchen and bathroom because I like those areas in particular to be clean and germ-free. I’m particularly happy with how it’s cleaned the soap residue in my shower.
Windex Multi-Surface Vinegar Cleaner is effective enough to use on a variety of surfaces in your home which means you don’t have to use anything else if that is your preference.
The one thing I would like the company to do is disclose the complete list of ingredients on the back of the bottle (if I missed it, I’d love to know). More and more I’m looking for companies to be completely transparent about their products.

As a young girl growing up, my mother always used vinegar and water to wash the windows in our home. and drying them with newspaper. My mother and my grandmothers used vinegar for a lot of things.

i love that companies are offering greener choices. i live in a small rural area and there are not a lot of stores available even after you drive the hour to get to a store at all. THese stores don’t carry specialty items like green cleaners and organic foods. They are tending to carry the greener versions of popular brands

Eliminate bad breath and whiten your teeth by brushing them once or twice a week with white distilled vinegar. I will try this!
Make nail polish last longer. Wipe fingernails with cotton balls dipped in white distilled vinegar before putting on nail polish

I’m not a “green” person. We don’t do things like dump our garbage on the ground, and we always pick up after ourselves. However, we don’t believe man can destroy the earth; only God can do that. We also see the futility of recycling since the brunt of it ends up getting thrown right back in with the regular garbage. We also don’t believe that something that comes from the earth can destroy it.

I learned that this can be used on a variety of surfaces–even countertops! Now, I have to admit, I’d never use regular Windex on my countertops, so it does seem that this new vinegar formula for Windex has a lot of advantages besides being environmentally friendly–it can be used in more ways. It is nice to see “conventional” companies bringing green products into the mainstream, but I agree that it would be nice to have the ingredients right on the bottle!

i learned that the multi surface vinegar works on stainless steel – good to know since my appliances are stainless
i think its great that conventional companies are producing green products, makes me wonder if it will bully out the smaller companies tho in this industry, seems like that always happens

I saw at the site that this even works on plastic & vinyl! I love when companies come out with “green” products…it’s like they’re actually listening to the public’s needs!

I like that big companies are doing green cleaning, but I’m not sure I trust them to be completely green like the small mom & pop companies that use simple proprietary blends or my own simple concoctions.

I wish that big companies that make natural products would REALLY make them natural and not have things in that are still bad for people. Like-do not swap one bad thing for another and think we don’t know.
