Feed It Forward With Restaurant.com Published on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 by
For most people, eating out is a luxury.  Whether it’s fondue at a French restaurant or Spanish tapas, I want to enjoy food that I wouldn’t make at home.  One of resources I’ve found for affordable restaurant dining is Restaurant.com.  A few weeks ago, we ate at Simply Fondue with a gift certificate we had purchased from the site.  My husband and I enjoyed traditional fondue for 50% off (plus the nominal cost of the gift certificate).
In the spirit of holiday giving, Restaurant.com announced the return of it’s Feed It Forward program.  Participants in the program can give up to 40 free $10 Restaurant.com gift certificates daily through December 31st.  The company has set aside $40 million worth of gift certificates, allowing individuals to gift up to $16,000 each.  Whenever I’m struggling to think of a great gift option, I typically purchase a gift certificate.  Through Feed It Forward, you can give friends and family members across the country gift certificates for free!  To Feed It Forward, visit their website or log into Facebook, Gmail, or Yahoo email to select who you’d like to receive a gift certificate.
You can send 40 gift certificates per day and I’ve already sent 11 today through Facebook.  The site is very easy to use, and completely free.
As of today, 1,289,273 gifts were given across the country. You can see who’s gifting via an interactive map on their website.
To start gifting, just visit Feed It Forward.
