Eco-Friendly Play With Box Creations *Giveaway* Published on Thursday, December 16, 2010 by

This giveaway is now closed.  Thanks for stopping by. The winner is Jennifer :) . Congrats!

I’ll be quite honest…I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when I opened up the Country Cottage Playhouse we received from Box Creations.  We’ve thought about getting our children a playhouse, but space has always been an issue.  My son is in that stage where he’s actively engaged in pretend play and a playhouse is perfect for expressing his imagination.

Box Creations takes “playing with boxes” to a whole new level with their sustainable “cardboard playlands.”  These intricately designed cardboard play structures offer imaginative play at a fraction of the cost. The company believes that a “richer play experience should involve a child’s imagination” and I have always strived to provide my son with those types of play experiences.   What I like most about their products is the fact that children can become part of the finished work to personalize it and make it his/her own (each playland includes a set of markers).

Because the playhouse we received is made of cardboard, I was concerned about how much we would use it and how durable it would be.  While I think it’s a great rainy day activity, I found that my son enjoyed it more when it was outside.  As far as durability goes, it’s sturdier than I would have thought.  My son isn’t old enough to exercise a great deal of caution and he’s enjoyed playing in it as he would any other playhouse…running in and out, opening and closing doors and windows, etc.

The Country Cottage Playhouse can accommodate 2-3 children and comes with detailed printed line work and 4 colored non-toxic washable markers. It was designed to resemble a real house complete with swinging doors, swinging windows, a mail box, and a chimney.

Each of the playlands offered by Box Creations are made from recycled materials and are safety tested.  They’re also easy to assemble (I assembled ours in about 5-10 minutes).

For more information, just visit Box Creations.

Win It! One of you will win a playland from Box Creations. Simply leave me a comment with the one you’d choose if you win. Comments will close on December 31, 2010 at 11:59 PM PST.
