My son is at an age where he’s actively using his imagination through pretend play.  Sometimes, I’ll sit back and watch as he makes up stories about the toys he’s playing with.

It wasn’t until Olivia debuted on Nickelodeon that the this little piglet gained notoriety.  Originally a children’s book series, Olivia now airs on Nick Jr.

Spin Master recently developed a line of toys based on Olivia’s character which includes a 2-in-1 Transforming Playset and four 8″ Olivia Plush Dolls.  If you’ve ever watched the show, it’s amazing how much the house resembles her house on the show.  My son enjoys playing with the Playset because it transforms from Olivia’s house into a pirate ship.

The Playset includes an Olivia figure, a dollhouse that transforms into a pirate ship, and over 23 accessories. I would highly recommend sticking to the suggested age range since some of the accessories are very small and could pose a choking hazard for young children.  I like the fact that the set can be played by both boys and girls, despite the fact that it’s targeted towards girls.  Because it closes up nicely, it can be stored and transported easily.  I do recommend getting a little bag to put the accessories in since they’re quite small. The 2-in-1 Transforming Playset retails for $29.99.

Every night, my son goes to sleep with his stuffed teddy bear.  Most children love plush toys, particularly when they’re familiar.  The plush collection includes Artist, Opera Singer, Cow, and Outfits renditions of Olivia.  Each doll stands 8 inches tall and retails for $10.99.
