Trick Or Treating With Mickey Mouse! Published on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 by

Summer, Winter, Spring, Fall…we’re at Disneyland several times a month, sometimes rain or shine.  And while the park is always magical to me, it’s particularly special during the fall and winter seasons.  Pumpkins adorn Main Street, store windows house fall-inspired displays, and some of your favorite rides undergo a spooky transformation.

We were the invited guests of the famous mouse himself (well, sort of!) for Mickey’s Halloween Party.  While I’ve written about it a few times, I wanted to share some photos and thoughts about the party, which has a new name and a new locale.  This private party is held at Disneyland on Tuesdays and Fridays through the month of October and offers kids an opportunity to enjoy trick-or-treating, fun activities, character greetings, and their exclusive Halloween Screams fireworks show.

This year, guests can enter the park up to three hours before the party starts (3:00 pm on Tuesdays, 4:00 pm on Fridays) which allows for plenty of time to experience the park.  I like the earlier entry time because my kids are little and almost never make it to the fireworks.  We got to the park at 4 and felt like it was a full day by the end of the night.

Trick or treating in a safe environment is a huge plus for me as a mom.  Candy and healthy treats, music and dancing, parades, and rides with shorter wait times (depending on the night) are a huge bonus for attending this private party.

Mickey’s Halloween Party is held on Tuesday Nights from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m, Fridays and Halloween Night from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.  I highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance because 1. They often sell out and 2. You’ll save $5.

AWESOME! One day when we’re super rich, we’ll have to fly out to CA and go to this with the four of you. ; )
