Magnolia Bakery’s New Fall Indulgences Published on Friday, October 22, 2010 by

Almost fifteen years ago, Magnolia Bakery opened it’s doors to New York City.  When I was in New York City over the summer, I had to pay a visit to one of their four New York locations, unaware of the fact that an Los Angeles store was set to open.  Even today as I walk into the store’s Los Angeles location, I’m captivated by it’s cozy, vintage appeal and the delicious smell of baked goods.

Earlier this week, Magnolia Bakery hosted it’s first blogger event, perfectly timed for the fall season.  While the bakery is known for their decadent cupcakes, expand your palate this season and try their pies, banana pudding, and classic icebox cakes.

Magnolia Bakery gave us free reign to sample anything we wanted.  I tried everything from Red Velvet Cheesecake to their classic Icebox Cake which is incredible. New out for fall are the following:  Pumpkin Pecan Cheesecake with a Ginger Snap Crust, S’mores and Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes, and Pumpkin and Pecan pies.  I don’t think there was one dessert I didn’t like, although I have to say that the Red Velvet Cheesecake With Chocolate Cookie Crust was my favorite.

Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Magnolia Bakery re-introduced their new Pink Ribbon Cupcakes.  Magnolia Bakery will donate 50 cents from sales to the Greater NYC Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

If you’re in the Los Angeles or New York City areas, stop in to Magnolia Bakery to get your sweet on!

No compensation was received for this post.  I was invited to a media event to sample their fall menu.

YUM! I tried Magnolia Bakery for the first time this summer at BlogHer. I wish I could have taken five dozen cupcakes home with me. So delish.
