My little trainee and I have some traintastic news to share with you. On October 10th, Chuggington is chugging to Toys R Us stores nationwide! The new Die-Cast toys from Learning Curve are based on the Playhouse Disney show and will have children honking their horns with delight.
Trains are my son’s favorite toys to play with. I waited for my son to come home earlier this week and surprised him by having the trains and tracks all set up. As soon as he saw the set he started singing the theme song, which was way too cute!
My favorite toys for children are those that are open-ended and allow for imagination. The set we received includes a curved track pack which can be used to create different layouts. Children enjoy collecting (you should see how many trains and cars my son has) and the familiarity of the characters makes this collection special for my son. The set and trains are realistic and my son recognized several of the characters from the show.
Apart from it’s realistic design, Chuggington playsets have cool lights and sounds. The Roundhouse we received includes a rotating launcher to send trains out on separate tracks. I am most impressed with the actual trains. They are intricately designed to look like the characters on the show.
The Chuggington Die-Cast Collection is available for pre-order on the Toys R Us website. The trains are surprisingly affordable at $5.99 and the sets range in price from $19.99 to $39.99. You can also purchase a variety of accessories, including a carry case my son already put on his wish list.

The training yard with loop looks like fun. Aiyana really likes Chuggington. It is one of the shows that we record on our DVR. I am sure she will be asking for these when she discovers them in the store!

My son LOVES Chuggington! We actually love it so much that we ordered the entire train collection from learning curve in the UK!!! YES we did. I also ordered a DVD, books and the Wilson Carry case. We just couldnt wait. The only downside was that the DVD is not coded for the USA
