I can remember waking up at dark thirty the day after Thanksgiving to go Christmas shopping with my mom. We’d peruse the ads while watching movies on Thanksgiving day in an effort to map out our plan. Many years we ended up at our nearby Outlet Mall.
It’s very rare that I’ll buy something that isn’t on sale. I learned how to shop from my mom, who used to buy an outfit a week when she was young and single. Over the years I’ve scored many a bargain. While I enjoy shopping for clothes and accessories, my favorite item to shop for (although it’s rare these days) is shoes. One year, I remember shopping at Nine West and purchasing 3 pairs of shoes for around $100 (which is a really good deal). The Outlet Mall had a coupon booklet with an additional percentage off and the shoes I purchased were on clearance.
I always enjoy TwitterMoms‘ blogging contests (and try to particpate when I have time), and this week they’re teaming up with Gap Outlet and asking for Your Most Triumphant Outlet Shopping Story. To be honest, I can think of countless times where I’ve received incredible discounts. But because I just adore shoes, this one was one of my most triumphant.
Now through May 10, 2010, you’ll save and additional 15% off at Gap Outlet and Banana Republic Factory Stores (minimum purchase of $75). Banana Republic Factory Store is also offering up to 50% off all women’s clothes from April 30 until May 19th. For more information, just visit their website.
