Build a Bunny at Build-A-Bear Published on Monday, March 29, 2010 by

Last winter, my son and I finally went in to a Build-A-Bear store for the experience of building his own furry friend!  He still talks about the movie Holly and Hal starred in, likes to dress and undress them (complete with mismatched shoes), and snuggle with at least one of them at night.

Every season/holiday, Build-A-Bear offers themed stuffed animals and outfits. With Easter forthcoming, Build-A-Bear offers bunny’s and chicks that your child can stuff, fluff, brush, and dress.  And with every purchase over $20 (through April 4), your child will receive a basket with candy.  Take a look at some pictures from our trip to Build-A-Bear for Easter:

My son chose Blossom Bunny!

The Infamous Heart Ceremony

Fluffing and bathing

Sporting a pair of cool shades

Going home in the cub condo!

The experience of picking out a stuffed animal, fluffing, stuffing, washing, and dressing it, is unique and allows children the opportunity to personalize a “friend” of their own.  Children can get creative with outfits and names (complete with “birth” certificate), which makes the experience meaningful to them  My son absolutely adores putting the heart in the stuffed animal.

Build-A-Bear offers a variety of stuffed animals (outfitted and plain).  You can shop online, but I highly recommend making a trip to the store to enjoy the full experience (your children may not want to leave if they’re anything like mine).

And, if your child is begging you for the new Zhu Zhu Pets, check out their themed baskets.

Be sure to check out my Easter Egg Hunt for your chance at winning on of your own.

I did not receive compensation for this post.  I was provided with a GC (and one to give away) to facilitate this experience.
