Holiday Gift Guide 2009: YouCanMakeThis *Giveaway*

December 11, 2009 by Caryn

This giveaway is now closed.  Thanks for stopping by.  The winners are Veronica G and Kristie. Congrats!

When I was young and single, you would find me doing things like baking, scrapbooking, and working on crafts.  Surprised, given that I also enjoy shopping and traveling?  I really enjoy creative projects that involve time and skill.  I would love to learn more advanced sewing techniques and I dream of making dresses for my baby girl and dress-up costumes for my son.   In October, I introduced you to an incredible company that provides “detailed, step-by-step guides for making fun projects in a variety of DIY categories.

If you’re still looking for gift ideas, you might consider one of the many projects offered by YouCanMakeThis.  Even better, make your own Gift Tags (for free!), stockings, holiday door hangers (for free!), and peppermint garland for your tree.  I’m eying the Petal Twirl Skirt for our baby girl and the Fleece Hats for our son.

Just by visiting their site you’ll learn techniques, tips and ideas for gifts and home decorating.  Be sure to enter to win their awesome eBooks and hundreds of dollars in gift certificates just for watching the videos that are part of the DIY Gift Giving Series and answering a question on the You Can Make This blog!

I am going to try to make a tutu and some ruffled capris when I get a moment (I have the ebooks!).  Stay tuned on my progress.
