I have some of the most amazing online friends (who are actually more than online friends since we've all met!). In one month, there will be a HUGE (yes...HUGE) online baby shower for me (I feel so grateful and humbled by all they've done). Stay tuned for more about the event because YOU will have an opportunity to win some of the same products our baby girl and I... Read More »

Last weekend, my husband and I took a babymoon little road trip. It was our *last* trip before our baby girl is to be born. Traveling without my son is filled with mixed emotions. I always feel like the trips are too short and too long. But coming back, even from being gone for just 2 days leaves me feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
As we prepare for baby ... Read More »

I'm just starting to get the fact that children go through phases when it comes to everything...including play and toys. Right now my son is very much into pretend play. He talks to his trains and his bear and some of the other toys we have in the house. It's actually quite cute to listen in on his "conversations." Since he's two, he doesn't always use complet... When did he learn how to unzip my purse (or unzip ANYTHiNG for that matter). It's not like I sat down with him one day and gave him a lesson on zippers. And since when is my purse a TOY? Note to self: Put EVERYTHING away, even if you don't think he's capable of getting into it.
"What do you want for breakfast?" I asked my 2 year old a few mornings ago. Pancak... Read More »

Sunny Days...Ok...so I've been singing this with my little boy the past few days (giggle!). I grew up watching Sesame Street. In fact, my mother tells me that at the time, it's really the only television show she'd let me watch. My son loves watching the show and hi... Read More »

When I was a little girl, I had a little yellow lunchbox I took to school. For some reason, it's one of the few "things" my mom kept (don't ask me why). These days, it houses more than 20 of my son's cars. It stays at grandma and grandpa's house and every time we go over there my son tells me how he wants to see grandma, grandpa, Niko (their dog), and his cars.... Read More »

It's during the holidays when family and friends spend the most time together. My husband and I like to entertain...to open our home to host guests for conversation and a meal. One of the things I just love about the holidays is decorating. I like putting Christmas towels in the bathroom and spiced candles in our living room.
Up until about a week ago, we did... Read More »

The other day, my little boy received the most adorable "box." In fact, yesterday he told me that he needed to put his snowman in his house. Don't you just love Build-A-Bear Workshop? Last year we reviewed Hal the Moose (which is just adorable!) and my son still loves to cuddle up with him! Build-A-Bear W... Read More »

I know it probably sounds CRAZY that I'm talking about water toys, but my car read 91 degrees today. Yes...it's November but that doesn't matter in Southern California! I even thought about turning on the air conditioning today. So what do you do when it's hot outside? We play with water toys (not ready to jump in that cold pool these days!).
If you're as o... Read More »

I've been asking my husband to take our little boy for a haircut for weeks...3 to be exact. It's not that I can't take him. I have no problem driving him to the salon and having the stylist cut his hair. It's the crying, protesting, and trying to run out of the salon that I can't handle at this point in my pregnancy. When my husband takes him, he holds him on ... Read More »

I JUST told you about Marie Callender's all new frozen Pasta Al Dente meals which can be cooked in 5 minutes (wow!). They're available in ten flavors which were inspired by Italian traditions. I haven't tried them yet (but we will!) but what's great is that y... Read More »

A few weeks ago, I had an opportunity to participate in an online briefing with Michael Chiarello, renowned chef, Emmy award-winning Food Network host, cookbook author and recent contestant on Bravo’s “Top Chef Masters.” The briefing was sponsored by Marie Callender’s and Michael showed us how easy it is to have a home cooked meal in 30 minutes. If there is ... Read More »

A small part of what I love about the holiday season is the food. I love fall-themed desserts and winter drinks. My favorite coffee shops are serving up Gingerbread Lattes and Winter Dream Tea Lattes (Yum!). To celebrate the arrival of the holidays and the wonderful drinks that come with it, Lenox and TwitterMoms want to know what my favorite drink of the season i... Read More »

I'm busily getting ready for our little girl, due to arrive very soon. I'm going through bins of clothes to see what we can salvage from our son's newborn days. I'm going through baby gear and dusting it off for her arrival. And I'm doing a lot of research for the few things we still need that I couldn't reuse from our little boy.
It seems like so far away, y... Read More »

Diamonds are forever...at least that's what they say! But diamonds are expensive and I don't have a lot of opportunities to go to situations where I'd need jewelry that fancy. Jewelry, is a very personal gift...every woman has their preferences. I, for one, prefer white gold and silver as opposed to yellow gold. I like petite pieces, since I'm a relatively sma... By now you know my husband and I tend to be foodies. We love gourmet foods made with high-quality natural, organic ingredients. While my husband does a majority of the cooking, I have a lot of influence with regards to the ingredients he uses. Some of my favorite gourmet food shops include Williams-Sonoma and Dean & Deluca (of course we can't forget about Whol... Read More »
