Oh, Caryn, you have me in tears since my older son just left, I am SO nostalgic of when he was a baby. When did he become a man old enough to go to war? Keep that stuff as LONG as you want!! It is good for you and you never know, you may have a tom-boy on your hands!
Please take care of yourself, and DO NOT overdo it this season, please let others help you while you have company. You and the baby’s health are the MOST important thing this year, not weather the food tastes best.

Nostalgia is hitting me hard lately too. I’ve been organizing albums and remarking to my husband how much our son looked exactly like my husband’s boyhood photo’s. It’s fun to look back, but it’s fun to look forward too, so here’s looking forward to your glorious day when you hold your baby girl in your arms for the first time.

I understand! There are some things that are just so hard to let go of! I have kept a few of my son’s infant clothes and things, they’re just so precious! I always went back and forth on having more kids, but in the end decided not to, although I still question that decision sometimes.

I have the same dilemma as you do, and still haven’t decided if I’ll have more babies, even though my “baby” will be four in two days! I guess time will tell…

the best of blessing on her arrival for you all. Wait until they are 28 years old and you have your grandchildren then you’ll still feel the same as though it was just yesterday with so many memorys to cherrish. Through the years I did the same and gave away her clothes and now only have her little pink t-shirt the hospital gave her and some booties which i’m glad to have to take me back in time if only for a moment. You know your little girl will someday soon be playing with baby dolls so clothes can be used for that too. You could buy a boy doll for your son and keep his outgrown clothes for them to wear and play with that way you still get to keep them and be enjoyed by both, you and your little boy.
