If you’re a parent of a teen or tween, then you’ve most likely heard him/her talk about The Disney Channel’s Emmy-nominated hit series The Wizards of Waverly Place, starring Selena Gomez. The show is all about her and her two brothers who possess magical abilities.
Walt Disney Records just released a new CD entitled Wizards of Waverly Place which was inspired by the hit series and upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie (which premieres on August 28). It features brand new songs and interpretations of classic tracks from the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s…all about magic. My husband, son and I are rocking out to these well-known hits (oh we’re so old!). The Wizards of Waverly Place was recently ranked as the No. 1 TV series for kids and the CD is already a hit! The CD includes several new songs performed by Selena Gomez including “Disappear,” the rock ballad “Magical,” a new version of Pilot’s 1975 Top 10 Hit “Magic, and the show’s theme song, “Everything is Not as it Seems.” The CD includes exclusive, behind-the-scenes interviews with Selena and her all-new music video.

Children love to dress up like the stars and characters they see on television. Disney recently conducted it’s first Back-To-School fashion show which was co-hosted by Jennifer Stone (from Wizards of Waverly Place) and Chelsea Staub (from Jonas). The Wizards of Waveerly Place line (described as boho-chic) is designed for 8-12 year olds and it’s available at JC Penney, Kmart, Sears, Walmart, Target, and DisneyStore.com.
Thanks to Disney Consumer Products, one of you is also going to win an adorable Wizards of Waverly Place outfit from the exclusive line. Here is what the outfit will consist of:

Oh wow would my daughter love this–she loves Wizards….her fave episodes were the most recent ones–Wizards and Vampires! I would love to share with her the 8. Magic (Xanadu) Meaghan Martin–because I love Olivia Newton John when I was younger! I like that the show sees the siblings pick on each other–but in the end stand up for each other! The magic is cool too!

You can do Magic. I like that it is pretty tame and my kids like it.
Everything Is Not As It Seems Selena Gomez is my favorite song. The show is reminiscent of Sabrina the Teenage Witch.

My favorite song on it is You Can Do Magic by Drew Seeley. What I like about the show is Selena Gomez’s quick and witty lines. This show appeals to my entire family.

I love this show & so does my Savannah. She was more than surprised when her Meema was singing along with most of the songs. LOL I love Do You Believe in Magic the best……….and the show is so cute & I think that every little girl dreams of having their “powers’. I know I did!

We love W of WP!! I personally like track #13. It is usually stuck in my head all day long. My 4 girls never can make up their mind which of the others they enjoy listening to the most!!! I love that the kids on the show are kind to the other kids. There seems to be a lot of shows as of late where kids are cruel and down right mean to each other. That is one thing that this show does not have!!!

Strange Magic is MY favorite and I love laughter in it.
I love Selena Gomez’s cover of Pilot’s “Magic.” In the show I love that the Dad gave up magic to marry the mom.
I love the song “Do you believe in magic?” and one of the reasons I like the show is that Selena Gomez is a great actress and I love her role as Alex. Very fun and sarcastic.
