Snapfish Summer Photo Adventure with LeapFrog Published on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 by

This giveaway is now closed.  Thanks for stopping by.  The winner is Brooke.  Congrats!

snapfish_logolf

Two of my favorite companies have partnered together for a fabulous summer promotion.  I’ve shared with you my love of photography and Snapfish is one of the companies I go to for quality, affordable photo gifts.  And very soon, I’ll be sharing with you my thoughts on LeapFrog’s new Tag Junior learning system.  But first, here are some details on a fun summer promotion, brought to you by both companies.

topbar_bg

Snapfish has partnered with LeapFrog to create a “Snapfish Summer Photo Adventure” for children and parents to enjoy a fun and educational digital photography journey this summer.  Whether you’re traveling or staying local, the family-oriented activities were designed to keep your children engaged, entertained, and educated. As part of each activity, children and parents are encouraged to take photos related to a particular theme and upload them to a scavenger hunt map (how fun is that?).  The challenges are based on the following:

Coastal Adventures

Camping & Outdoors

Theme Parks

Fun & Games Around the Home

Here are the details:

When a challenge is completed, participants will earn 50% off a collage poster from Snapfish.

Complete the challenges within all four themes and participants will earn a 5 x 7 photo book that can be customized with photos and captions.

If you complete a challenge, you’ll receive $5 off Tag Junior and $3 off any Tag Junior book from LeapFrog (we have this and it’s so much fun).  It’s a portable book pal that brings special dot-enabled board books to life.  My son loves hearing the excerpts read out loud and listening to the sounds and songs.

Participants will also be entered to win a free flip book or photo book each time they complete all seven challenges within a theme.

And those who upload a flipbook or photobook will be entered to win a Tag Junior.

I know that’s a lot of info.  But I think it’s definitely a fun activity for parents and children, particularly when we’re all looking for cost-effective, creative ideas for engaging children this summer.  Plus it’s a great way to introduce the beauty of photography early on.

If that’s not all, Snapfish has a few other contests that you can participate in this summer including a Family Gatherings Contest where users can enter photos of their favorite summer family gatherings in exchange for prizes (photo mugs, canvases, tote bags, etc.) and a Summer Food Photo Contest where users can submit photos based on the food that most represents summer to them.

Check out all of this and more on their website.

Win It! One of you will win a summer photo book, courtesy of Snapfish!  Simply head on over to the site and take a look around.  Come back and leave me a comment with an activity you’d like to try with your family.  Comments will close on August 20, 2009 at 10 PM PST.  One comment per person, please. US residents only. Duplicates and comments not including the above information will be disqualified. Comments are moderated. If you don’t see your comment in a reasonable amount of time, send me an email. Bloggers and non-bloggers may enter. If you don’t want to leave your email address, please be sure to check back for my announcement on the winner. Please note that winners must respond within 48 hours of being announced/contacted or another winner will be drawn.

Want an extra entry? Do any or all of the following and receive an extra entry for each one.

Be sure to leave me a separate comment for each additional entry.

Follow me on Twitter AND tweet about the contest.

Spread the word about the contest.  You can blog, share on Facebook, etc.

Submit an entry to one of the summer contests on Snapfish.

Disclosure:  The information for the contest and the giveaway were both provided by Snapfish.

I would like to go to the summer beach social held by the mothers of multiple group I am in. I would love to get pictures of my boys having fun in the water. It would make a fun book.

I like the idea of “keep(ing) it green” by planting a vegie garden together and making creative lables for the seedlings. I guess that’s an idea for next growing season.

I think the “Fun Around the Home” category is great, because it encourages you to find adventure where you live, which is important right now when times are tough.
