I’m a romantic at heart. I cry at Hallmark commercials and WEEP at romantic comedies and dramas (especially when the guy gets the girl). Fox and MGM Home Entertainment are celebrating Mother’s Day by releasing four new themed DVD giftsets. Here is what recently debuted on DVD:

The Women In Charge being the reason for I loved raising my kids and being a mother and like Diane Keaton who didn’t know what she was doing

Hopeless romantic here, I choose “Women in Love”
Great giveaway! I think I could identify to the “Laughs, Love and Lyrics” set the most. Why? Really it was just a process of elimination. I don’t keep up with myself anymore…so there goes the “Laughs & Locks” – I lost my job and my independence so I’m definitely not the HBIC (Head b%^ch in charge) anymore and between the stress of those two dilemmas, not so sure if there is that much love brewing in my house anymore. So yah…I just have to laugh at it all.

A Walk In the Clouds – set in a winery, a chivalrous man helping out a damsel in distress, in the end they are in love… *sigh* I was in Italy about 10 years ago, and well what’s not to love, about the culture, the family ties that bind…. I didn’t want to come home.
One Fine Day – could happen to anyone, especially here in New York (set in NY by the way) when you least expect that someone – ….. *sigh* I know when I least expected my husband, well waddya know – he’s my husband now
Return To Me: MY FAVORITE the idea that fate would bring the two together and with heart…. (can’t give this plot away)…. how romantic, touching, tender and sweet. Time nor distance can keep what is meant to be ….. my hubby and I knew on another for15 years- we each went our separate ways, then one day, HELLO….and life these past 5 years have never been the same.

“Women in Love Collection” (One Fine Day, Return to Me, A Walk in the Clouds I love these movies and I can’t really identify them because I’ve never found this kind of perfect love but I really liked them because the male leads are sweet romantic guys. I love return to me because that’s a fantasy for the guy to search me out after a separation and even cross an ocean for me. Not any of my past loves -when I left and moved a thousand miles away, I wanted that distance between us for clarity.

It was quite a surprise, after I chose “Laughs, Love and Lyrics Collection” and I was going to write that I like to laugh so this would be my choice..but then I happened to notice a comment that was from my daughter, and she chose the SAME one and for the SAME reasons!! Amazing.
I think my favorite would be Women in Love (those are all such good movies), but a very close second is Laughs, Love & Lyrics. I love music in movies.
I lvoe the Laugh, Love and Lyrics because I have always thought the soundtrack to the Rose was amazing. I still have “The Rose” on my IPOD>

The women in love collection – I can’t identify because I haven’t experienced love like any of these but I can identify in that touches a deep part of me that I recognize. I love Return to Me because to me the epitome of Romance is when the “Hero” follows the girl across the world – and a walk in the clouds I can identify with because of my highly romantic side.
