Jon & Kate Plus Ei8ht Giveaway Published on Sunday, January 25, 2009 by

This giveaway is now closed.  Thanks for stopping by.  The winners are Melissa V, Steph, Reeva, Erica C, and Susan (A Happy Heart at Home).  Congratulations!

I absolutely love TLC, the popular educational network chock full of addicting, reality-based programs! We had our 5 minutes of fame on Bringing Home Baby! And now the hugely popular series, Jon & Kate Plus Ei8ht is coming to DVD! Here is a little more about the series if you haven’t seen it (and if you haven’t…why not?). : ) They definitely defy the all-American 2 parent, 2.5 children and a dog stereotype!

Following the super-sized family as they tackle seemingly ordinary activities such as visiting the zoo, vacationing in Utah, going to Disney World or celebrating the holidays, the #1 show on TLC showcases how the Gosselins manage their extraordinary lives raising two sets of energetic multiples. Featuring all-new extended episodes as well as a Gosselin family music video, Jon & Kate Plus Ei8ht Season 3 continues to offer insight into Jon and Kate’s unique approach to child-rearing. Twins followed by sextuplets were not exactly what the Gosselins expected, but Jon and Kate’s ambitious parenting and dedication to provide a normal childhood for their happy brood has helped the show attract a large and dedicated fan base.

Jon & Kate Plus Ei8ht Season 3 debuts on February 3 from Genius Products and TLC. This four-disc set features 33 episodes will be available for $34.95.

Win It! 5 lucky readers will each win their very own copy of Jon & Kate Plus Ei8ht Season 3. Just head on over to the site and tell me if you watch the series and what you like about it (if you don’t watch the series, tell me why you want to see it). I love the show but miss lots of episodes. The kids are all adorable & I love the dynamics between Jon & Kate!

  • by Rachael January 26, 2009 at 9:21 am

I like that it is real people in a real situation. We get to see what their life is really like – kids who fight, parents who yell, kids who help and kids that don’t.

  • by Julie Neff January 26, 2009 at 10:47 am

I would really love this! I’ve been eying it on Amazon for some time :) I watch the show and actually just bought the season 1&2 DVD. I’ve missed a few of season 3 episodes though, so I want to see them!!!!

A true friend is not a friend that you can see and know that they are there without a doubt. A true friend is a friend you truly have faith in without a doubt. True friendship is when you don’t see that friend but you know that they are there and you learn to trust and believe in them…that one day you will see them without a doubt! I wa t everyone to feel this way…I WILL make everyone feel this way. Runescape gave me that chance…to know what true friendship really is. Together, we flew in the sky , over the ocean , in a dream that lasted forever! With unbroken bonds of the new existence. I DECLARE THESE BONDS UNBROKEN. I will fly with them forever in a dream that turns to the new reality.I am a blinding light made new, emptied of all preexisting darkness, and I will guide those in the darkness.Believe me..when I say I will do something, I will most likely do it eventually. I live to be the very best, not fine, not decent, good, amazing or outstanding. I live to be the very best.I burned fires of infinitism down the longest path that existed for eternity shedding tears…with my friends in the most magical and legendary lake of all time. These friends are the light that shines in the distant…you are the one in the darkness…looking for that light! That light. Is the only thing there to trust, you leave it to chance. One day you find it but it disappears. You can only have faith. That the light is still there. I found that light and I constantly lose it but I learn to trust it even more. I WILL win THIS. I DECLARE IT!!!!!!!!!!! This is how bad I want to win!

  • by Mary Newland January 26, 2009 at 8:38 pm

I do watch the show. I like the show because I think they are a genuinely cute family. The kids do what kids that age do they whine, they fight and they love each other. Come to think of it, it is also an apt description of Jon and Kate. I look forward to watching this show each week.

I have only watched it a couple of times but my daughter watches it as much as she can and she loves it! She is in college and works also so she misses alot of the episodes so I would love to win this for her, she would be thrilled.

  • by Tracey Byram January 27, 2009 at 5:00 am

My daughter tlaks about this show all the time. I’ve only seen one episode while I was visiting my daughter. (She has cable, I don’t.) I had enough trouble raising 3 children, I’d be interested in how she manages with 8.

  • by Nicole C. January 27, 2009 at 6:01 am

Me and my daugter watch it together! We both just love to watch the kids!

  • by Bailey's Leaf January 27, 2009 at 6:51 am

I’ve never seen the show because my low as you go cable offerings doesn’t offer it. I would love to see how Kate and John deal with discipline with such a large household of little ones. I’m fan of Super Nanny so I figure that this is just Supersized Super Nanny!

    Thank you!

  • by Gina January 27, 2009 at 6:53 am

My 5 yr old would love this!!

  • by Cheryl January 27, 2009 at 7:00 am

  • by Gail January 27, 2009 at 8:47 am

My daughter loves to watch this show. She is always taking about something that happened. Her favorite quote from the show is “Hannah pooped in Hannah’s underwear.”

  • by Rebecca Wetzel January 27, 2009 at 8:52 am

    this show is great
i like that one of the kids thinks she is the only “asian” i admire the mom and dad of this family

  • by April January 27, 2009 at 9:14 am

I love the show and I love Kate too. Their family would never run that smoothly without a take charge kind of person and that’s not John. I also love watching the kids grow up. April1p{at}yahoo.(com)

  • by Roger Banker January 27, 2009 at 10:13 am

I really enjoy the show because of the Cristian values that they share with their children. The patience John has with Kate, and The Love slap Kate delivers to John.

  • by Karen B January 27, 2009 at 10:26 am

An amazing family! I like that they show everything – not just the good or the bad. Kids are all adorable.

Gosh they are getting so big! We love the show because we have ONE child the age of their six and we are always saying “can you imagine having six of him?”!

  • by Frances January 27, 2009 at 1:08 pm

I have seen part of one episode (at someone else’s house – we don’t watch TV here) and am definitely intrigued. We hope to have many children and I’d really like to see how another family handles their big brood.

  • by Christina January 27, 2009 at 1:12 pm

  • by Sandy Tritt January 27, 2009 at 8:03 pm

I love this show.I have an eight year old and a 4 year old so I can kind of relate to the things kids do. My dvr is even set to record it so I don’t miss it each week. The show is really down to earth and makes you realize that some of your rough day with your kids aren’t so bad and that some things kids do are just plain normal.

I have watched the show since it began and I love it! I think what I like best about it is that we get to see Jon and Kate at their finest; bad, worse and worst, not to mention at their goreat and greatest! I think it’s healthy for other people to see their great attitudes toward everything, even if they do get a little perturbed sometimes! That’s life!

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  • by Jennifer Short January 27, 2009 at 10:18 pm

I like when they take the kids on outings and seeing how they handle it. Plus, Jon is kinda cute. ;)

  • by Heather January 27, 2009 at 10:31 pm

I have only seen the show a few times when I’ve been visiting my parents and my mom was watching it. The clip of Kate pregnant and shifting her gigantic belly at the beginning makes my stomach ache!

I don’t have cable or satellite TV so I can’t watch it!

  • by Kara January 28, 2009 at 12:54 am

I love this show! It is my favorite! My husband thinks it is dorky and pokes fun at it, so I am sort of a closet Jon and Kate lover, but I love it nonetheless. I love it because I can relate to some of the chaos that takes place in large families as I grew up in a family with seven kids.

  • by Mrs. McB January 28, 2009 at 6:35 am

I watch the show all the time. I think it is great because it is about two typical parents battling through raising a large family. I love how they don’t always get along and they show their true selves and struggles.

  • by Paula H January 28, 2009 at 6:44 am

I just watched it last night! I love the banter between Kate and Jon. They crack me up.

  • by Cris Todd January 28, 2009 at 8:24 am

  • by Jenny January 28, 2009 at 9:01 am

  • by Katie January 28, 2009 at 9:16 am

I love their show for many many reasons. One being that my husband is named John and lots of people call me Kate (instead of Katie). I love seeing them “fight” and act the same as my husband and I. It’s grounding for me to see that families are the same no matter the size (we have 3). Also their twins are the same age as my oldest (daughter) and their 6 are the same age as my middle son. So it is nice to see they have the same challenges as we do (only on a much larger scale) and i like to see how they over come them. I could go on but…..won’t. We moved recently and no longer have tv channels. I am really missing this show. Thanks for the giveaway.

  • by Karen Gonyea January 28, 2009 at 9:39 am

  • by Lisa in NM January 28, 2009 at 10:59 am

We don’t have dish or cable so I can’t watch the show at my house. But, my children saw it at a friend’s and really enjoyed it. As a mom of six, I always enjoy reading or seeing other larger-than-normal families. Any show with cute kids has to be fun to watch!

  • by Julie Ballman January 28, 2009 at 11:01 am

I love this show because I can relate to Kate so much! I too am a mom of multiples…granted ONLY twins. I am a nurse. And I too run the house! I just love watching how much Jon and Kate love each other too while being under all that stress. They are big motivators in my life!

  • by Jason January 28, 2009 at 11:30 am

  • by Jeanine January 28, 2009 at 3:11 pm

  • by Aimee Fontenot January 28, 2009 at 7:00 pm

I watch Jon & Kate every time I get a chance. I love when they run marathons because I can watch the same episodes over and over and never get tired of them. The children are absolutely adorable, and I love how they interact as a family. I also love Jon’s attitude about everything. He’s so laid back, and Kate’s the total opposite. I think I would cry if I won this. This show is my absolute favorite! Thanks so much!

  • by Chantelle Sabino January 28, 2009 at 7:01 pm

This is my favorite show, I watch it all of the time! I think the kids are so funny, and I like their different personalities.

  • by Rebecca January 28, 2009 at 7:35 pm

I watched it once… While I loved the idea, I was so irritated by the way they nagged each other and the way Kate treated Jon like he was stupid that I never watched it again. Maybe it’s time to try again?

  • by Sandy January 28, 2009 at 7:49 pm

I love the show, I tivo it every week so I can watch it with my children. It’s amazing how calm and organized they are with their kids. Thanks for the giveaway

  • by Dani January 28, 2009 at 8:24 pm

  • by Erin Lowmaster January 28, 2009 at 8:33 pm

  • by Deanna January 28, 2009 at 9:28 pm

I love, love, love JON & KATE PLUS 8. As a matter of fact, I was just telling my husband the other day that I feel like I personally know them! I only have 1 son the sextuplets age…I can’t imagine having 6 of them!!!
Thanks for the chance to win this DVD…then I can watch them as often as I’d like.

  • by Estelle January 29, 2009 at 6:56 am

  • by Vera January 29, 2009 at 9:27 am

I’m a huge fan of this show. My DvR cable is set to record every week. My reason for loving this show is, the adorable kids. There unpredictable, that’s what so amazing there is no script and they say the cutest things.

A couple of my favorite moments are Collin misbehaving with the fridge magnet, Leah combing her hair in front the mirror, Cara in the ski resort skiing, mady hula lessons, aden sniff everything, hannah helping kate, joel weinner moment, alexis and her excitement for aligators.

I have to say their really really great parents, not only do they provide the basics (food & shelter) but they really give a lots of love to these kids, you can see it in there expression. really!

This is one of my favorite shows.
I love the fact that it is real. That they show the good with the bad such as the tantrums etc. Instead of editing it to show just what they want you to see.
Thank you so much for offering this wonderful giveaway !

  • by Lisa January 29, 2009 at 5:20 pm

I don’t watch the series because we don’t have cable, but I was addicted to it when we were on vacation. :) I love that they are so REAL. They don’t have it all together and they don’t act like they do. They just are who they are, and that totally rocks.

  • by Vera January 29, 2009 at 11:09 pm

  • by Chrysa January 30, 2009 at 3:05 pm

I watch the show and love it, but Kate can be a bit much. I guess you have to have a “strong personality” to deal with so many kids.

I Love the show. The kids are adorable. I think kate is a bit obessive compulsive with the cleaning LOL but at least kids aren’t living in filth. Madelyn is dramatic reminds me of myself at that age.I can’t imagine having eight children, I am exhausted and I just have one.

Not only am I addicted to watching Jon & Kate Plus Ei8ht but my 10 year old son loves to cuddle with me and watch it too!

The saddest episode I saw was when Kate was talking about Jon and all the kids being Asian and that she wished she was to. Their children are all so beautiful. In fact I believe Kate said they were china doll babies, and I have to agree with her. Beautiful skin.

I know a lot of people do not like Miss Gotta Be Perfect Kate, well I just don’t see it that way. With a family this size she has to be on top of it all, she has to have it organized and if something falls out of place of course she gets upset.

I am glad she stopped saying “hello, Hello, HELLO” to Jon, it did not sound good and I think it took her seeing herself on film to realize it.

I like when they show Jon & Kate showing a little affection because it is healthy and it should not embarass them (I saw the episode where they read readers emails and it seemed Kate was embarassed easily with that).

Anyway, yes, we love this show, we look forward to the new season, watching them put their new home together…..as one big happy family.

Thank you for the chance Rockin’ Mama, have a great weekend :)

  • by Heather M January 31, 2009 at 8:44 am

I LOVE their show, Yeah they may not always get along and She can be a bit Uptight, BUT They have 8 children for heaven sakes. I love watching how different AND similar they are to a regular family. It’s my favorite part of the show. They are very well behaved children! I hope that even if I have 3 children they act that well with eachother! Thanks

I love this show! I do watch is when I get some free time! The kids are soooo cute and it is fun to watch them grow and I think their parents are great to be so good with them and not go totally crazy all of the time! I don’t think I would be able to handle that many kids at once, let alone most of them being the same age! Good for them!

  • by LT February 1, 2009 at 4:50 pm

We watch the series because I can’t believe what these parents go through with 6 the same age! Makes me not feel sorry for myself when I only have one going through the stages! My daughter (4) also loves John & Kate Plus 8 and will sit and watch it with me.

I watched the show religiously until we had to have our Directv turned off in December (hard-times)…and I really MISS watching them.

  • by Jan R February 6, 2009 at 12:21 am

I DO watch this series, it’s oddly addictive. I really dislike Kate, and Jon is totally PW’d! Step it up, Dude!

Kate was on my local T.V. morning show this week, all high blonde hair and eyeliner, speaking as a an “expert” Pu-leeze!

On the positive side, she is a much better Mom than that octoplets lady, at least she isn’t a grifter and scamming the system.

Sorry to be so negative, but these are my feelings. Thanks so much for offering this contest. If I’m lucky enough to win it I’m pretty sure I can sell it!

  • by Becky February 6, 2009 at 10:45 am

I’ve never seen it, but I’ve seen promotional ads for it, and my friends tell me that it’s a great show. I’m hoping I’ll pick up some organizational skills from it. Yes I watch this series because I really like Kate and Jon and how they are dealing with raising their children. I think their kids are adorable especially their older girls. This is a great giveaway and I really hope I win. Thanks.

I like this show but sometimes Kate gets a bit too bossy. The kids are very entertaining and, honestly, I don’t know how they do it. They mix parenting with organization, humor and, at times, humility. It’s a great show – me and (one of my 3) kids watch it.
