My husband is always teasing me about being a savvy saver.  I ALWAYS have some form of coupon in my possession.  (Mambo Sprouts has taken up permanent residence in my purse).  My favorite places to find a bargain include Amazon’s Friday sale, Craigslist, Ebay, and The Children’s Orchard.  When I was pregnant with my son I had a lot of time to research baby products since I was on bedrest.  One of the things that was really important to me was high quality nursery furniture.  At the time I was reading a lot about Italian-made cribs, specifically those manufactured by Pali and Mibb.  

On one of my usual trips to The Children’s Orchard, I happened upon a beautiful natural wooden crib whose design matched that of an Italian designer.  Sure enough when I asked the gal working at The Children’s Orchard, she confirmed that indeed it was a Pali crib and that it was selling for $200 INCLUDING the changing table!  The crib was in excellent condition…apparently the family who owned it did not want to move it with them across the country.  If you know the retail price of high-end Italian-designed cribs then you know this was a STEAL!  Needless to say we were so blessed to attain two quality pieces of furniture at an incredible price.  If you knew what we paid for our glider/ottoman (which was brand new) you’d think it was given to us.
